Secrets have a way of coming out…
Amy Cartwright isn't sure who she's supposed to be anymore. Her family thinks she's flighty, her ex believes she's a walkover (the bastard) and her friends think she's plain crazy. But there's a different side to her that nobody sees, nobody but the cool, sexy Scotsman who just happens to be her boss.
Callum Ferguson isn't looking for excitement; he's had that and it almost ruined him. He likes things calm and predictable – everything that his new PA turns out not to be. But from the moment she walks through his office door it's as though the light has come back into his life, and he can't get her out of his mind.
Fighting against the inevitable, they both try to ignore the attraction, but the flame of desire is too bright. They're soon drawn into a steamy love affair that they have to hide from everybody, knowing the revelation could cost them everything they've worked so hard for.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews
Carrie Elks isn't a new author to me and, having read the previous books in her Love in London series, I did go into this with fairly high expectations. Overall, Canada Square is a great read, balancing romance, passion and a little bit of angst and drama with two wonderful characters whose journey pulls you in from the start. "There’s no way I belong somewhere like this. Not Amy Cartwright, the girl who can’t get the London twang out of her voice no matter how hard she tries." From the minute Amy walks into Callum Ferguson's office, his attention is captured, as his hers, despite the fact that her new boss is surly, demanding and tests her patience. But as one of the new interns in company with a no fraternisation policy in place and her project placement counting towards a hefty chunk of her degree, she can't risk falling for her boss. And naturally working closely together leads to the very opposite. “I like my coffee bitter, my women sweet and I always keep my promises.” I loved Amy; young and sweet with a quiet strength and temerity and she has a realistic outlook on life. And Callum; every time the man opened his mouth I fell a little bit more for him. Older, successful and gorgeous with a presence about him when he enters a room, peel back his layers and you discover a man who is thoughtful, protective, gentle and who opens up his heart despite his own fears. "...every time you walk in a room it's as if somebody's turned the lights on inside my soul." Together this couple travel a path which has depth and is filled with desire and secondary characters who add real value to the story. Carrie Elks has an engaging writing style which draws you into the lives of her characters. If she writes it, I'll most certainly read it and I'm already excited to discover what Andie's story holds in store.
