Until now, I've only used the book in a huge family research library. I'm glad to see I can order it here and will do so. The appendix has passenger lists with names of ships and departure dates from the Canary Islands. I found my ancestors on these lists. Now I want to read the entire book to understand the complete heritage of Los Islenos.

Since there is virtually no information on Canary Islanders in Louisiana, this book provides almost everything you would want to know about this period of history in Louisiana.
