Overview

Cannibal (A Jack Sigler Thriller) by Jeremy Robinson, Sean Ellis

Still recovering from the tragic loss of a good friend, Jack Sigler, callsign: King, leads the Chess Team-a crew of former Delta operators-back into action. But what should be a routine snatch-and-grab to capture a drug cartel leader, escalates out of control, throwing the team into a challenge unlike anything they've ever faced. An enemy from their past, who is close to unmasking their identities, joins forces with the psychotic cartel kingpin, setting a trap that will shake the team to its foundations.

While the team battles enemies old and new, King's fiancée, CDC disease detective, Sara Fogg, struggles to stop a strange outbreak that transforms the infected into ravenous, inhuman monsters. Once responsible for the disappearance of the Roanoke settlers, the disease now threatens to spread across the planet, ending human civilization in a bloodbath of violence.

Hunted by humans and monsters alike, King and the Chess Team face a desperate choice-sacrifice themselves or let the world bleed.

Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis, the international bestselling team behind Prime and Savage, return with a riveting and horrific tale reminiscent of Matthew Reilly's and James Rollins's best. Settle in for a long night as the Chess Team journeys around the world, through history and to your worst nightmares.

This latest Chess Team novel has got to be my favorite of the series thus far. It had all the action and plot twists of a Robinson book but it seems like the plot is so much more creative this time. There is also more emotion to the story and the ending blew me away. I hope the next book comes out soon because I won't be able to get this out of my head until I know what happens next. I would have never thought any author would rate higher in my estimation than James Rollins but Jeremy Robinson clearly has done so. Stephanie Clanahan

A rip-roaring adventure from beginning to end. Full of twists and turns. Probably the best Chess Team adventure yet. Can't wait for more.

Holy crap! From the beginning of Cannibal, Robinson picked up right where he left off with Savage. The team is involved in some hot action with a drug cartel as they fight for their lives, in more ways than one. Meanwhile, there is some kind of strange outbreak in North Carolina that strangely ties in with the battle the Chess Team faces. The action was nonstop, and there are a few jaw-dropping developments throughout the story that leave you wanting the next book immediately! You better get writing, Mr. Robinson. Your fans await the fate of the Chess Team!!

An awesome (and gruesome) addition to the Chess Team adventures! As always, Jeremy keeps you guessing, gives you hope (also a few nightmares) and makes you love his kickass team.

Cannibal by Jeremy Robinson brings a new twist to the old tale of the lost colony, but then what would you expect from any job the chess team works. Will this me the end for the team? Read it and find out for yourself!

This book was awesome welcome back Chess Team, Jeremy Robinson is setting the standard for genre again and again. Where does he come up with the ideas I'm not sure but I love them. This book will keep you on the edge of your chair.

If you are new to the Chess team and the Jack Sigler Thrillers, I would compare this to when James Rollins was at his best. This latest installment is beyond good. Seriously left me thinking "wow"! Jack Sigler may be King of the Chess Team, but Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis are the new King's of action thrillers. There were many times when I actually said out loud "Oh my God!". It's insanely fast paced and has many twists and turns. Like each and every ending, it leaves you desperately wanting more with cliff hangers that compare to when we were all wondering who shot J.R.

Cannibal is the latest in the Jeremy Robinson Chess Team series, co-authored with Sean Ellis. The story is an adventure combining the mythos of the lost colony at Roanoke, the ancient Aztec civilization and a Native American tradition. The Chess Team is once again going after the unknown. This mission will leave them reeling. A treasonous, treacherous senator is working hard to bring down the Chess Team. It looks like he might just succeed. Additional, his actions set off a biological contamination on American soil. King’s fiancé is sent by the CDC to investigate. I love the Chess Team, after the losses sustained in a previous story one would hope for a better mission than this one is turning out to be.  Jeremy and Sean are very successful at drawing us into the story and getting us attached to the characters. By the middle of the story, I was sad, angry, and unbelieving that what was happening could actually be happening. If you are a Jeremy Robinson fan, this is a must read, if you aren’t and you like elite military action combined with imaginative and horrifying monsters you will want to read this book. Then, you might just be drawn to read the rest of the series to get the full effect of Jeremy’s vision. It’s awesome!

The latest Chess Team book is yet another home run.  I love this explanation of the lost colony and the Croatoan legend.  Particularly the way it links into the existing Chess Team universe.  Long time fans of the series will love this release.  Anyone new to the series is in for a treat.  Creative and higher energy, everything you expect from a Robinson thriller.
