I've been reading this to my child since he was born. He LOVES IT. We have a dalmatian (named Dottie) and he loves reading it. He has horrible eyesight which we didn't know until he was 12 M, but I think he always liked this book because of the colors and contrast and that he knew who "Dotty" was. Very cute and sweet story. I would love more "Dotty" stories!!!!

I bought this book because it was on sale and my daughter loves dogs and boy what a treasure I found in this book. My husband reads this book to my daughter at bedtime each night and my daughter loves it. There is a little ladybug hidden on each page, and my daughter delights in trying to find it. The drawings are cute and the story is a warm-hearted one. I would definitely reccommend this book to anyone.

This refreshingly illustrated story about a puppy trying to get to sleep in her new home includes enjoyable repetition and play-along (such as making the sounds of the animals). The content is not quite perfect -- it could have been made a little more identifiable to the reader -- but it has a warm and good 'night' ending, which is always useful when putting your toddler to bed.
