The idea of 50s Cap, or Bad Cap, or Crazy Cap (whatever you want to call him) is really great. I have always thought there was a lot of potential for stories there. Here unfortunately Ed Brubaker, who I normally love, gives a pretty run of the mill clichéd storyline. This plot was unoriginal to say the least and Brubaker is capable of so much more. Luke Ross, who handled most of the art, looked incredibly rushed. It was not the crisp art from him that I’ve come to expect. Overall, the book was a bit of a disappointment.
