Featuring Captain Lewis, my fans' favorite character from 'Dreams of the Queen'.
"Captain Lewis' Broken Dreams' is a quick, sexy jaunt through a favorite character's perspective on life, love and commitment while adding a touch of foreshadowing for 'Queen'. We also get to meet Lewis' girlfriend for the first time, and revisit Lt. Sam Brown.
This story adds dimension to a strong man's sexiness and inner angst. Captain Lewis is THE guy all of us ladies would love to take home. He's THE guy all the other guys want to be. He's just too busy saving the world to realize it.

Significant realizations for Captain Lewis Captain Lewis is a "Lifer", a Green Beret in the Army; it's his home, his family, his place to belong. He comes to realize this with more certainty than ever when his on-again, off-again romance with live-in girlfriend Caroline takes the back seat to just one more mission. He loves the thrill of the mission, apparently (she argues) more than her. CAPTAIN LEWIS' BROKEN DREAMS is 15 pages long (minus front- and back-matter, including 4 chapters of a novel by Jacqueline Patricks). The short story encompasses one evening and shows Lewis' tequila-soaked epiphanies, the realizations and turning points that bring about big changes in the course of his career, his love life, and no doubt sets up the series to come. After reading this short story, I'm definitely interested in reading more about this favorite character (Captain Lewis) whom fans had asked Ms. Patricks to write more about!...hence this short story. Sensuality Level: spicy Language: Just what you'd expect from a Green Beret under fire (especially from a woman)-- Rated R ~Kristin
Terrible Choppy story line, needs to be edited. I will not be reading this author again
As a fan of Dreams of the Queen, this shortie was like icing on the cake. Captain Charles Lewis was quite fascinating to me in the initial story, so I jumped at the chance to get to know him a little better. In this prequel we find out how Lewis is initially told of the upcoming mission, and how he is able to put together his hand picked team of experts. I really enjoyed getting a closer look at his bruised heart, and how his mind works. He is damaged just slightly, and has a few vises, but hey~ he is hot as hell. There is just enough steaminess to make this a fun sexy read. I'm holding out hope that we will see much more to come from this hunk of a military Captain in The Brajj #2.
