This Graham Diamond version of the famous Snbad character is not what you find in Arabian Nights. With good humor, a dash of action and adventure and romance, the 'real' Sinbad is depicted in odd and often humorous circumstances. How Sinbad somehow is in conflict with El Cid of Spain, for example, is quite a stretch. Somehow, Diamond makes it work. I enjoyed this light, entertaining read.

A pretty good book, although there were some very annoying spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as inaccuracies in the story line. Maybe I am nitpicking, but it irritated me when Sinbad was standing in a field of "wet grass" and less than an hour later, he was watching the flames catch on the "dry grass."These things aside, the story was exciting. Sinbad traveled with his team of sailors from Baghdad to Damascus, to Crete, a pirate stronghold, Spain, etc. He met Vikings and "magicians" along the way too. Overall, a pretty good adventure story.
