Firstly if you have not read the New Camelot Trilogy then I would recommend you stop and do so prior to reading this book as there are spoilers for American King within. Cards of Love: The Moon is Merlin and Nimue story and oh what a story it is! This will be one of those reviews that does not give anything away. As I have found previously from a book by Sierra Simone, expect the unexpected. Merlin intrigued me from his first appearance in the New Camelot Trilogy and I was thrilled when I heard that he was getting his story. The Moon gives us an insight into Merlin’s past and how he morphed into the character we came to know in the trilogy. Merlin is so charismatic that you cannot help but be mesmerised by him and his story and Nimue is absolutely the one for him.I was riveted from the first chapter to the the amazing last chapter. All I will say is that if I were you and you are a fan of the New Camelot Trilogy then you are going to love the addition of Merlin and Nimue’s story, I know I did.

This is an epilogue to the New Camelot series. There are spoilers to that series. GO READ IT NOW! It is amazing! This is Merlin and Nimue’s story. Merlin has the memories from his past lives. He has been reliving his life trying to right the wrongs from King Arthur’s time. In every life Nimue has been his downfall. He awakens chained and defenseless. He realizes Nimue has kidnapped him and is fearing the worst. Hot and spicy with some elements of sadism. Intricate tale of a love separated by fate. Great use of the mythology of King Arthur with a filthy spin!

A tale of two people, dealing with the past (and at times, I do mean PAST), present and future, filled with magic and love and a few other interesting things too. Having just finished the New Camelot series, I loved jumping in to read about Merlin and how his story turns out. I won’t tell you and ruin it for you. But you definitely need to read it

Beautiful and Magical...5+ stars! The Moon is an absolute delight to read. Dark and magical and sexy and sweet. Sierra Simone made my heart pound with every dark, delicious word entailing Merlin’s narrative of his love and lives with Nimue. Even after many betrayals, Merlin is unwavering devotion for Nimue. I was completely entranced with this magical tale of two people who finally come together in one point of their existence to find their chance at love. Sierra Simone is a wonderful writer brought this romance to life and I loved every word. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

When Sierra puts myths and history Into a story from present day. Only one thing can come out of it. And that is magic. I dont Think it is Merlin that is the magician in this book. It is Sierra. She spell bindes us to her books. We are slaves to her words. Everything els is put aside when we read. And that is magic. Merlin what a great selfless man he is. He puts everybody before him. He sacrifice himself for everybody and the greater good. Ash Embry Greer and his beloved Ninue. His love for her is so big and strong. That it lasts through two lifetimes. And Even when he should hate her. He still loves her.

Cards of Love: The Moon by Sierra Simone is part of a multi author project- Cards of Love, a series of love letters. Cards of Love: The Moon is also part of her New Camelot Series and I highly recommend to read the other books first. The previous books are American Queen; American Prince; and American King. The Moon is Merlin and Nimue's story. Merlin lived a lot of lives - and he remembers every single one. And in every single one Nimue is his nemesis. Everything in this story is connected and interwoven. Nimue and her relatives, - Merlin and his fate, - Greer, Embry and Ash. The Moon takes place at the end of American King and contains some spoilers. For fullest reading experience I recommend to read the Trilogy first. I read and loved the New Camelot Trilogy and I had high expectations for Merlin's book. And what can I say, I was so not disappointed. I love how Merlin and Nimue interact, how they differ from each other and find common ground at the same time. The Moon is like nothing like the other books by Sierra Simone and very similar at the same time. I can't express how much I love this story and how much I loved reading about Greer, Embry and Ash and get glimpses at their new lives. The New Camelot Trilogy will always, always be my favorite rea, with The Moon a close second. I highly recommend the book and wish I could give more than 5 stars.

5 HOT MERLIN STARS!! What a delicious delight this Cards of Love: The Moon was. The Novella is about Merlin and Nimue, it is hot as sin with an unforgettable love and sexiness. Merlin is from the New Camelot trilogy, so I suggest reading those first if you have not read them. Sierra Simone is a brilliant storyteller that sucks us readers into her story land and you never want out. 1-Click this book, it is fantastic.

“I’ve seen living magic and breathing legends, little moon, but you are the wonder of my eyes, you are the sight that steals my breath every single time.” Cards of Love: The Moon is a novella, Merlin and Nimue’s story, from the New Camelot Trilogy. I sat spellbound, savoring each word, while reading this amazing and epic love story that was only hinted at in the previous books. Ms. Simone weaves an intricate and complex tale, with an apparent ease only a talented master of her craft could do so well! It felt poignant at times and I was so certain history would repeat itself, but hopeful there would be some magical spell that could change the course these two were destined to relive. “You’re already inside me in every other possible way, little moon. In my mind, in my blood, my breath, my heart. What’s this compared to that?” Merlin’s destiny was to ensure the American King, American Prince and American Queen had secured their place in history. Once complete, his job was done; there was no further use of his magic. There would be no HEA for Merlin; his fate was to die alone. He’d already lived it once, as painful as it had been; he was prepared for what was to come. What he didn’t see was Nimue’s decision to make amends for past mistakes, before it was too late. “Double the pain, twice the betrayal. A million times the tragedy.” Nimue comes up with a plan to force Merlin to reveal things to her by using skills she’s mastered on him, until she discovers the truth he hides. She’ll use every single bit of her sadistic and erotic knowhow to bring Merlin to his knees. A position he loves and yearns to be at, worshiping his Nimue. “Do you love me still?” “Of course, little moon. I’ve loved you for eternity and eternity stretches both ways.”

4.5 stars for - The Moon - part of the Cards Of Love series written by Sierra Simone that features Merlin and Nimue from The New Camelot Trilogy. This should NOT be read as a stand-alone to The New Camelot series as there are quite a few spoilers that can and will be revealed. Merlin wakes up naked and bound with an odd sense of dejavu but having a good understanding of what exactly happened to put him in his current predicament he doesn’t panic. Especially not when the only person he has ever loved enters the room where he is being held and tells him she is the one holding him hostage. What transpires next takes them both on a long and dangerous journey with enough memories to last two lifetimes. Sierra Simone is a master at writing sinful seduction in its most basic form. The pure carnal bliss that she can capture between two, three or even ten people will make it feel sexy and intimate every single time! Can’t wait to read whatever she has planned for us next!

This was a quick read. Part of The New Camelot Series. So if you have not read the rest of the series I suggest you hold off on this novella. Sierra Simone nailed it again. I was so excited for Merlin and Nimue's story and she did not let me down. It filled in so many questioned I had about the two of them. And I saw a whole other side of both characters. It was intense and kinky. Sierra Simone style. I don't want to say to much because I don't want to give anything away. It is definitely worth the read. And I am so excited for what she has planned next.

In “Cards of Love: The Moon,” past, present and future come together so that two people destined for one another can finally resolve all the sins of their pasts. Merlin and Nimue were star-crossed lovers whose lives had been intertwined over many years, past and present, and in many different ways. Merlin always had magical powers, but depending on who he was with and what he was doing, he sometimes kept them a secret. He wanted to marry Nimue, but she chose her family instead and left him. Merlin never stopped loving her, even though he blamed her for his death. The book begins in the present where Nimue has kidnapped Merlin and brought him to an island off of Wales near where he grew up. They hadn’t seen each other in 23 years, since the night that he left in tears at her graduation party. They had a secret and torrid affair where Merlin fell hopelessly in love with her, all while Nimue was dating someone else. However, on the night of the party, Nimue chose to be with her boyfriend instead of Merlin, leaving him alone once again. Why does Nimue bring Merlin to the island and what does she want from him now? Magical, mystical, sensual and erotic. These were my first thoughts when I finished reading “Cards of Love: The Moon.” I felt as if I was living in a beautiful dream sequence that brought me into the past and back into the present with a glimpse at the future. The Moon card in the tarot represents illusion, dreams and the unconscious, which is the world that existed around Merlin and Nimue while they found their way back to each other.

Not only have my heart and soul always been hers, but my body as well— my body that can only feel and respond to the woman who’s doomed to destroy it." OH. MY. GOD. THIS. BOOK. IS. PURE. MAGIC!! I am so in love with Merlin and Nimue. The Moon was everything I wanted, and SO MUCH MORE. Sierra Simone truly out did herself with this book. I have always craved more of Merlin and that need is ten fold now. I could not devour this book quick enough. Every page left me desperately craving the next. I was not ready for the story to end. I could have read about Merlin and Nimue forever and never grown tired of them. They truly are hauntingly beautiful together. Their chemistry scorches through the pages of your kindle. While their passion blazes through your heart. Keep your ice water handy, you WILL need it! When things heat up, they HEAT UP! I seriously can NOT stress enough how freaking HOT some of those scenes were. If you thought the Camelot trilogy steamed up the pages, The Moon rages through them like a wildfire. "It’s Nimue, it’s always been Nimue, and something is so different this time, so potent, that I don’t have any armor against it. It’s like it gets right to the beating heart of me." Nimue was pure fire this book. I could not get enough of her character. She was a heroine on a mission. She knew exactly what she wanted, and she was not going to stop until she got it. Nimue commanded your attention with unwavering elegance and power. She dominates your mind in the most deliciously kinky, saddist way. While making you love every minute of it! "What if I want to punish you for being so handsome? What if I want to torture you for being so mysterious? What if I want to tie you up so you can never leave me?" Merlin definitely took me by surprise this book. There was so many facets to his character you didn't know about previously. My heart definitely ached for him too many times to count. His vulnerability was nothing short of all consuming. Merlins devotion for Nimue will leave you breathless. He certainly had me melting in the SWOONS so many times. Merlin is officially mine and I'm not sharing him. “Have you ever done this, Merlin?” she asks, in a voice like she’s asking me if I’ve ever had ice cream. “Have you ever played with power?” *5 STARS* Will never be enough for this novella, I would rate it 20 if I could. Everything about this story was hauntingly magical, with one of the best endings to a book that I have read to date.

This was a great sort of epilogue to Merlin's story from The New Camelot trilogy. I loved reading his background, although I have to say, I was quite surprised by some of it. Always a good thing in a book IMHO. Sierra can write the hell out of hot!! I went back and forth about whether I liked Merlin or not in New Camelot. We see a much different side of him in this novella. I won't spoil it for you, but if you've read the trilogy, you must read this.

I completely adored every minute of this book. Sierra Simone does NOT disappoint. She delivered her normal heart-wrenching story about two doomed lovers, fated to die in this life after 1500 years between reincarnations. I love Sierra. I love Ash. I love her characters so much. I really liked seeing more of Nimue, who was a nearly absent figure in the New Camelot series beyond being Lyr's mother.

The second I found out that Sierra Simone was taking part in the Cards Of Love collection, I knew I wanted to read her contribution, but when I discovered who it was going to be about? Well, I was giddy with anticipation. I WANTED THAT BOOK!!! Now, I’ve read it and it was just… so much better than I could have imagined. If you’re a fan of Ms. Simone, then you’ve probably read ‘The New Camelot’ series, because, come on… who hasn’t read that trilogy???? If you haven’t, then why not? Get that remedied right now, lol. Seriously, you need to read those three books first or you’ll lose a lot of the whole feel of the story. Anyway, The Moon is set in the world of New Camelot-- just after a certain point in book three (American King) for those ot in the know, and it’s the story of Merlin and Nimue and opens up their world to the eyes of the reader. Merlin seemed like such a hard-a** in the trilogy, with all the stuff he put Ash, Greer and Embry through, but I gotta tell, he more than redeems himself here. I totally fell for him almost from the word go, but Nimue took a bit longer to warm me up. Even though this was a pretty short novella, it still managed to fill in a lot of history, and the mystery surrounding Merlin’s relationship with Nimue. Flashbacks to the past are mixed with the present in a seamless flick of a page. I gobbled up every word and still wanted more. I was awestruck at the things Nimue did! OMG!! And Merlin let her. So dirty, so raw and HAWT, so GAH, sexy, sexy, sexy. I loved how this wrapped up the whole series and that ending? Soooo good.

When Sierra Simone ended the Camelot trilogy and was heartbroken. Those characters had weaved their way into my soul and I wasn't ready to let go. When I saw that she was telling Merlin's story in the Cards of Love books, I couldn't wait to get my greedy hands on it. Merlin and Nemue's story is dark and absolutely sinful and I loved every stinkin minute of it. For a novella, there was a full story here and it absolutely held me spellbound. Incredible story in my much loved world. I need more! Great read.
