I am completely enamored with the Judgement of the Six Series by Melissa Haag. This series is so intricate, blending six points of view, (one from each book), into one overreaching, complex story. Haag’s incorporation of a companion series is bold and enlightening. Each new book of the auxiliary series is blended perfectly into the larger story. This brings me to Carlos’ Peace, book five of the companion series. His story adds a lot to the series. He is very different from the previous mates to the Judgements. He is a very intense and a bit feral, which makes him rather perfect for Isabelle. In addition to complementing (Dis)Content, Isabelle’s story, Carlos’ Peace adds a lot of foreshadowing leading up to the release of the final Judgement’s book. Haag has an excellent talent for pairing couples who complement each other well. She uses these companion books to help move the overall story along, as well as dangling carrots for readers of this series. I look forward to the exciting conclusion of this series, and the resolution to all of the questions she has yet to answer. 4.75 stars.

The technique she uses to write this series pulls you into their world until you feel like you're living it with them. FANTASTIC job can't wait for the next one to come out

So if you are reading the JOS series, you are going to love this one! The step into Carlos is beyond enlightening! His secrets are revealed and you are left with feeling full but wanting more! And the end is sure to make you bite your nails for days! I cannot wait for the last one!!! Waiting will be the death of me for sure!

I love the judgment of the six and then the companion books came along. They added so much to the stories! I was so excited to read about Carlos. There was so much more going on with Carlos than what we learned in Isabelle's book. Can't wait for the next one.

This was excellent. There was so much that happened from Carlos' perspective that enhanced the story. This book had sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. I have so many questions now. I liked Carlos and this book showed that he did have a personality. He was more than the emotionlessly stoic character who got on Isabelle's nerves. The picture of Isabelle is different through Carlos' eyes too. They are a great match. The writing for this series has been captivating. I can't put the books down.. There were only a couplle of errors that were not an issue. Waiting expectantly fo Olivia's story...and maybe Jim. Hmmm? How will that work in Jim's situation. 4.5 stars

I am not sure how to even review this, it is either from my book hangover or that I am just not done processing this amazing book...I have no words other than this is the first time I have hated having to wait for the next book, I hate this feeling such tension at the end not know what is going to happen and this horrible foreboding about what is to come. Don't get me wrong the book was a MASTERPIECE!! I loved it and I am struggling with the feeling of need as in I NEED, MUST HAVE the next book ASAP!! Ms. Haag is such a storyteller and does not disappoint in this latest addiction to the companion series of The Judgement Of The Six.

This book blew me away! I was excited to get into Carlos’ head as he was written in Isabelle’s book “(Dis)Content as almost of a mystery. You didn’t get to know him that well through Isabelle’s eyes. Now that I’ve been in his head it was not what I had imagined, it was better. Melissa Haag has an amazing ability to surprise you with every main character in all her books. I really enjoyed getting to know Carlos and his history. The love and desire for protection that he has for Isabelle is incredible. He is even more swoon worthy and right up there with my favorite Judgement of the Six men. I really recommend reading “Carlos’ Peace” book 5 of the Judgement of the Six Companion Series. You will gain not only insight about Carlos, you will gain so much more insight of the entire series.

Wow, wow, wow!! What are you doing to me Melissa Haag? The companion novels to the JoS series have been superb, and Carlos' Peace is no exception. It was enlightening and heartbreaking to get inside Carlos' head. I had no idea he was feeling the range of emotions he was. I loved getting to know Carlos, even though it was hard to read at times. Carlos' Peace answered the many questions I had after reading (Dis)content. Sometimes I felt like I was reading a completely new book, which made it very interesting for me. The epilogue, oh the epilogue; I will leave that right there. I am eagerly and nervously waiting for the last book in the JoS series!

This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2017. This book was well worth the wait. I loves being in Carlos' head. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and I finished it in one sitting. The ending has me wanting the next book to he released today!

“The things you fight for are the most worthwhile.” Carlos’ Peace is another fantastic addition to the companion novels of the Judgement of the Six series by Melissa Haag. I will admit that when I read (Dis)content, I wasn’t much of a Carlos fan. He was quiet, brooding, and a bit macho at times. As a reader, you literally have no idea what is going through his head, because he never expressed much. All you knew was that he was carrying some serious baggage from his past that made him this way. I was intrigued by him none the less. Therefore, having the chance to read this story from his point of view was enthralling. There is so much we don’t know about Carlos before this book, and we are finally able to add some more pieces to this Judgement puzzle. As with most alternate POV novels, there is some repetitiveness, but Carlos brings a whole new perspective to himself. We learn so much about him, but is it weird that I still wanted more! We get in depth insight to why he is so closed off, what happened to his family, and how he started on the path of becoming an elder. When he is helping search for the missing Judgements he discovers one to be his mate. In a true twist of fate he must now learn how to let someone inside the walls he has built to keep every emotion out, but his wall does help him realize he is the perfect match for Isabelle, who is an empath that steals emotions from anyone around her. Not only that, but Carlos is a big, beefy wolf, and although he is quiet-he is mighty, which means he is perfect for sparring with Isabelle, whom needs to burn off the energy that she has consumed. It is almost like they are perfect for each other. I have changed my mind and I am now firmly in the Carlos camp! I am still a little weirded out by his overbearing nature, but I think that is just my personal preference. It was hard to relive some of this book, as there is a lot of emotions, and a lot of plot furthering, but I am still extremely excited over coming closer to the end game. There is also an epilogue in this book that gives you insight into a certain beloved and important side character that you would be missing out on if you don’t read this book! The Judgement of the Six series needs to be read in order, but you can immediately read the companion novels afterward each book. These companion novels can hold their own, but if you have only read the main series, I can’t recommend them enough. This series is some of the most fun and unique YA werewolf stories I have ever read, and I definitely highly recommend! The next book (Sur)real, will be the final installment in the Judgement of the Six series, and there will not be another companion novel, as the final book will be written in dual POV instead. I am so excited to finally figure out more about our final Judgement, as well as to see the Urbat get whats coming to them (I can only hope!). If you like action, mystery, and paranormal romance, this series is for you!

Carlos has been the most secretive of the Mates of the Judgments, so to finally have his thoughts revealed gave a phenomenal insight to not only the man/wolf whose actions didn't always make sense, but it helped to understand the sincere fight he had with himself to claim the love of his life. It showed me just how important it was for us to go beyond Isabelle's perspective and shed light on the healing the claim not only gave to her but to him as well. Reading Isabelle's book told the story, but reading Carlos' book opened us to an entirely new world. Without giving too many details away, he was a broken man who would have served as an Elder with a commitment and a strength that was innate to his very being. But finding his Mate, something that was becoming more rare for the werewolf race, and her being one of the six Judgments, was even more of a testament to his strength and loyalty. Watching the relationship between Isabelle and Ethan from Carlos' point of view was not only heartbreaking but gave a true picture of how important Mates are to them. There were so many missing pieces when reading Discontent, pieces that only Carlos could add to the puzzle. And Ms Haag has a way of storytelling that captures the reader's imagination, takes him/her to a magnificent world in her mind, and makes us feel. I laughed and cried, felt my heart clench and felt myself sigh in relief. It was a beautiful and insightful story, told from a male point of view...not an easy thing to do...and done superbly. With one Judgement left, I don't know how she is going to reconcile this world of hers. But I do know that I'm on the edge of my seat excited to find out.

Fantastic Book! In my opinion Melissa Haag has written another outstanding companion book to this Judgement of the Six series! I do feel a person would need to start at the beginning of the series to appreciate this book as much. I love her writing style, the story flows fast, pulls you right in, can't put it down type of reading, there's so much emotional connection to her characters too. I love this book's character, Carlos, he has so many layers to him! I had no idea what to expect from his early years or his thoughts about Isabelle, after reading this you just want to give him a big hug for all he's been thru. Loved his point of view, you don't realize how much is running thru his mind from Isabelle's book ("[Dis]Content") either! So many new details revealed in this book that weren't in "[Dis]Content", with such an emotional roller coaster too! I think I favor the men's point of view companion novels, but I love this whole series!
