Aries 2016
Achievements and Progress
In order to evaluate the general trend of the year we need to look at the major planets in your sky. Almost five out of six planets are above the horizon in your sky and three out of five planets are in the eastern side. This gives a good idea about the general outlook of the year. What does this mean?
With four major planets above the horizon, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto, the emphasis is on relationships. You will define yourself through others and through learning and interacting with colleagues, friends, family and partners. Exploring new territories can be the challenge for this year. It is very important to maintain a flexible attitude and learn how to patient. However, with three planets out of five on the eastern side of your sky, you will be able to tap into your own resources and create your reality. This means that relating to others will not be as easy or comfortable as you wish, since you want to retain your own identity and your own standards. This can cause some contradiction with the need to exteriorize and interact. Relationships will suffer the consequence of personal evaluation and you will eventually measure everything according to your own needs and standards.
There are lots of interesting and unexpected things happening this year. There will be good opportunities and lots of achievements and the main highlights of the year will be work and health. Nothing will come on a silver plate and it will definitely be an active and demanding year on different levels. This is the year of change and perseverance. Rewards are available, however, a flexible look at life will help a lot in your daily work. The biggest challenges will come from planet Uranus and you will only feel the stress if you fall directly in its path.
Some of the good fortune will be coming from the past year and many more will follow throughout this year. Planets have different effects on your life and whether you are affected by them or not, is up to your level of awareness and degree of readiness to act. Planets are only timers. They time events just like a clock. So how is 2016 going to be for you Aries? A good look at your sky says a lot. Let us first explore the transit of the planets and their influences this year and follow up with a general look on your romantic and professional life.
Jupiter
Different planets have different effects and the most important positive influences will be those of planet Jupiter, which will start from Virgo, your solar sixth house of work and health. This visit actually began last August and you have probably tasted the flavor of success or improvement since then. During this visit, you may receive a promotion or an outstanding opportunity to move higher. This is the perfect year for a career shift or expansion. The opportunity that you may receive can be either sudden or planned. That is why you are advised to make an effort to move forward. The timing has never been better for a career change or improvement. Dare to ask for a salary increase, bonus or promotion. If you are self-employed then you can expect an expansion or some kind of innovation. Business flourishes and you may probably start a new line on the side. This is the perfect time of your life to set standards, goals and work hard for them. As for health, you will be on top of your life during the first eight months. You can find cures to your illness and resolve pending health issues. Under the influence of Jupiter, you need to consider a healthier diet and a considerable amount of exercise. Jupiter can cause an increase in body weight.
Jupiter will move to Libra, your seventh house of partnership, on September 9. You may be surprised by the possibility of a new offer or opportunity in your career or social life. This will be a good time of the year to resolve a legal matter and set records straight. You can face a competitor and even win a big case. You may decide to seal a deal or even get married.
Mars
Mars, your ruling planet, will be jumping between Scorpio and Sagittarius, your solar eighth and ninth houses of others' resources and travel, during the first nine months exactly until September 27. Most of the year you will put your energy and concentration on sorting out your finances, insurance papers and rebirthing through changing methods and attitudes. You may need to look into old health issues and follow up on them. You will want to study or live a wild experience and this is when the adventurous spirit in you wakes up. You join a talent show, take a trip or engage in higher studies. You want to write, publish or promote a book. When this planet goes retrograde you will feel a slow down in your schedule and maybe inefficiency in your work and this will be between April 17- June 29. Between October and December, you will probably fight for your rights and rally for your causes. You will courageously face your world and declare some achievements. In a few words, all of this year your energy is public oriented, achievement prone and accomplishment focused. This is where you want to shine and succeed. This is your battlefield. This is what defines the year 2016 for you.
Uranus
Uranus has been in your sign since 2011 and will stay there until 2019. It is a long visit that will leave nothing standing still or as it is. During the past five years important changes took place in your personal life and during the next three years, more changes are coming. Uranus is the planet of the unexpected. It leaves nothing as it is. Whatever it touches has to dramatically change and this can be on personal, social, professional or financial level. In 2016 Uranus will touch the lives of those born between the 10th and 15th of April since it makes a direct hit on their sign. Others born around or close to these dates should be alert and ready for unexpected events that can force a change in their routine. Saturn
This planet will stay all year long in Sagittarius, your solar house of studies, travels, ideologies, religion and philosophies. Saturn brings important lessons wherever it transits and this year you will probably show a different attitude towards one or more of the abovementioned issues. You will learn a lot about these issues and come to terms with a necessary need for change in order to blend better and easier with life. This is an important year to work on serious lines of thoughts and work. However, on the positive side, Saturn will empower you with determination and will power. You can overcome obstacles once you have a plan. You can even score very high professionally and academically, especially if you were born between the 1st and the 12th of April.
Neptune
Neptune has been residing in Pisces for some years now and will stay there for almost ten more years. It awakens your intuition and spirituality. However, it works in subtle ways and you will not remark its effects on the short run. You will show more interest in spiritual studies or the metaphysical. You can easily tap into your inner self and connect with the deepest feelings. Neptune is the planet that rules the world of the subconscious and the underworld of our fears and dreams. This is when you will discover an enchanting world.
Pluto
This planet is in Capricorn and plans on staying there for many more years. It squares your sign from the tenth solar house of career, social position and duties. You have probably felt the changes in these areas over the last eight years. Your career has been in a roller coaster with consecutive and drastic changes. Authority figures have probably meant very much and played decisive roles in your life. You will continue to live such effects until 2024 and that is why it is important to embrace the need for a change and do it yourself instead of waiting for a cosmic storm to herald one. This year you will continue to learn about handling authority given to you, or dealing with it. You will probably rise from ashes and shine above them all. Pluto is the planet that times slow destruction in order to make room for new foundations and structures. This is not an immediate process. It takes years.
Solar Eclipses
Solar eclipses usually usher some events that can trigger external changes in our lives depending in which house they fall. They are New Moons, only stronger and demanding. They are important timers in our lives and we should be in tune with their vibes.
This year and as usual there will be two solar eclipses. The first one will be on March 9 and the second one will occur on September 1. How do these eclipses influence you and where do they fall in your chart?
The first eclipse will take place in Pisces, your solar twelfth house of self-discovery, retreat and redemption. This year you are expected to look deep inside yourself. You need to be honest with yourself and start working on those issues that only weaken you. It is time to empower yourself with more knowledge, intuition, faith and studies. You may be interested in new metaphysical studies, different line of workshops, yoga, spiritual or religious seminars. It is time to build a stronger foundation.
The second yearly eclipse occurs in Virgo, your solar sixth house of health and daily routine. You may feel restless about your job. You may wish to expand or reshuffle priorities. You know that a certain change or update has to be done in the coming six months and you need to help yourself instead of be led by the current. Your health will be under the spotlight probably in the next six months. This is the time to look after yourself and be more health conscious. It is a good time to follow a healthy diet or exercise. This is the year that you start a daily walk or visit to the gym.
Lunar eclipses
Lunar Eclipses usually happen twice a year. Lunar eclipses are Full Moons only stronger. They are different from the solar ones in that they usher inner or emotional changes depending on the house they fall in.
The first lunar eclipse occurs on March 23 and falls in Libra, your solar seventh house of relationships. Your relationships may be demanding during the next sixth month. You may experience new emotions and live certain experiences that trigger deep feelings and maybe actions.
The second lunar eclipse happens on September16 and falls in Pisces, your solar twelfth house of solitude and inner self. This eclipse resonates with the first solar eclipse in March and is another trigger for self-empowerment and motivation.
Lunar Nodes
The lunar nodes are not planets. They are virtual points where the moon's path in the sky crosses the ecliptic (the sun's path). However, their influence is noticeable most of the time in certain areas of our lives depending on the sign they are in. this year the axis of the node will be in Virgo/Pisces, your solar sixth/twelfth houses. There is a need this year to look after your physical, spiritual and inner health. You may find the idea of a spiritual, detox or a hideaway retreat very appealing.
Romance/Family
These areas of your life will be positively active. Venus, your love planet, will be steadily circling your solar houses without any retrograde motion. You will feel the good vibes of Venus in whatever you do even outside your love area. There is harmony and peace inside you, which gives you enough power to give love and attention to others. There can be a positive exchange of such positive vibes and your family or romantic life will prosper and bloom most of the time. If you are in a serious commitment, you will love the warm effects of deep emotions. You will enjoy a steady life with your partner and grow together throughout the year. You need to be well prepared for daily drop quizzes and monthly tests. Daily studies and make up sessions are a must. This is a tough year that needs to be faced with serious and hard work. Some months like January, February and June are easier than others. However, you will learn a lot through projects, group work and research. January
Usually you start every year with a slight headache or lot of anticipation. The sun in Capricorn squares your sign until January 20 and with a new moon on the 10th you really need to sort your priorities and know your duties. Your studies seem tougher than usual or probably you are not well prepared. In all cases, you should try to catch your breath and avoid wasting precious time. Dedicate this period of time to serious pursuits and celebrate success as it comes. This period of the month will not be all dashing about. There is fun for you on some good days. Venus and Saturn can bring along entertainment and success. You only need to focus well on your chores in order to avoid making big mistakes. You will definitely need to lavish your support team with gratitude and attention. Support will come right when you need it so never give up. It is very important to believe in yourself because you have great potential this year. Start well and all will go well.
The new moon in Capricorn on the 10th will highlight personal issues that need looking after. You may feel uptight around this period and you even complain from some family demands. You need to keep business and family issues well separated since both of them are highlighted this month. Your studies, career, parents or social activities may worry you for some reason. Your impatience may prevent you from sound action and that is why you need to stay calm. You have all it takes to make a brilliant achievement in spite of the tension.
The sun reaches friendly Aquarius on the 20th and your mood suddenly brightens up. You find it easier to communicate with everybody. You feel friendly and happy to participate in necessary events. The full moon on the 24th in Leo will bring forth favor and benefits especially on good days. Make sure you book important events on 24 or 25 January.
Romance
Venus, your love planet, will encourage you to socialize or go out with your partner. In spite of the tense duties you can still enjoy a good time with your loved ones. Having fun and visiting places or living a new experience will enhance your relationship. If you are not involved, then love may find you on a trip or at a workshop. You are easy to be liked.
