Sensual and Suspenseful Favorite Quotes: “I get a warm feeling hearing Gabe say the word home, it’s more than just four letters when he says it, it’s a promise of a future together.” “Strapping on my big girl panties, not literally because I don’t need Ink to know I wear those, pissed off or not, I imagine pulling them up and march out to my car.”   My Review: Being new to this series I needed to read all 4 installments, meaning that this review required 962 pages of reading… and worth every word.  I spent the weekend with this odd assortment of characters and found them quite entertaining.  Hawt, well-built, well-endowed, foul-mouthed, multi-talented, romantic, witty, smart, sexy, and leather clad bikers… I had to run a fan constantly!  I loved seeing the tender and loving sides to the otherwise badass bikers being exposed.  I was taught to fear this subculture as a child, and even as an adult, I had never stopped to think of the human element underneath the leather and denim until stumbling upon this genre of books in recent months.  I particularly like learning the stories behind their colorful names.  I have enjoyed this series and found them suspenseful, sexy, and absorbing.  I cared for most of the characters and wanted them all to get their HEA – although we lost some beloved members along the way.   I am relatively new to this genre as well as these authors, but plan and hope to read more of them in the future.

Carnal Desire by K.T. Fisher and Ava Manello is the second book in their Severed MC series. We pick up the story from Severed Angel's wicked cliffhanger ending. We know that Satan is in England stalking Eve, but what happens next. Satan is Angel's twin brother and a member of an enemy MC in Australia. He is also essentially his namesake. He is twisted, evil, and will stop at nothing and will hurt anyone and everyone, children included. How do you stay safe from a madman with no moral limits? Where I really enjoyed the storyline, I couldn't fully immerse myself in the book as I did with the first book, Severed Angel. It may have been the rapid back and forth between Australia and the UK, or the addition of large story plots for other characters such as Ink that distracted me. Since I'm writing this review a little after the fact of reading it, I have since already read book three, Severed Justice, and it was fantastic. This writing duo was back up to a 5-star read and there was no putting that book down. I look forward to more from this team.

I received a gifted copy for an honest review. 3 stars This book begins where Severed Angel left off. Eve is heading back to England - to her daughter, although she is missing Gabe and wishes he'd asked her to stay. Little does she know, Satan, Gabe's evil twin, has followed her to England to take care of her once and for all. On Eve's journey back to England, she meets a woman named Elle. Elle and Eve become fast friends. During the long flight to England, Eve shows Elle pictures of her MC guys and shares her story. Elle and Eve agree to meet up in Eve's hometown of York in a few days. Gabe is distraught. His woman has left without saying goodbye and he has learned that his psycho brother has followed her. Gabe is now desperate to get to England to save Eve and her daughter, Elizabeth, from Satan. When Elle is travelling to York, she runs into Gabe and a couple of his MC brothers, Cowboy and Ink, whom she recognizes from the pictures. There is an immediate physical connection between Ink and Elle and begin a hot and heavy affair. Will Gabe be able to save Eve and her daughter from Satan and get his HEA? Will Ink change his love 'em and leave 'em ways for Elle? This book is not only the 2nd part of Eve and Gabe's story but is also Ink and Elle's story. I feel that this book would have been better if it had focused more on Gabe and Eve and let Ink have his own story. Also, there were a few too many POVs (I counted 9.) Although, a few were only used once. I LOVED the first book and was disappointed to not have more Gabe and Eve in this book. It was very sweet to see the bond form between Gabe and Eve's daughter, Elizabeth. I did enjoy some of the twists and turns that are involved in this book as well. I would recommend this book to those that read Severed Angel and want to find out what happens next.

This book was just as good as the first one. This is turning out to be a great series and I hope to see more books. Love the twist and turns the story takes. Can't wait for the rest of Inks story and I really want to read about Justice. I like the fact that people in the other book show up in this book. It makes it feel like a running story snd you get to learn more about every one.
