I was really looking forward to this book b/c it concluded the Hopewell General series and I was really anxious to see how this book tied in the entire series and ended all of the plots. It was HORRIBLE and that's putting it lightly. It was written, in my opinion, at an elementary level. At times, the hero, Maxwell, was referred to as Matthew, where is the editor as I am sure that was a typo. It did not tie in the endings for several major storylines. Halfway through the book, I was ready to put it down and burn it. I do realize that each author is different and writes differently however this was a HORRIBLE conclusion and I felt that one of the other authors three authors, as ALL of their stores were absolutely fantastic should have concluded this series. If you do not have to read this and have not been following the Hopewell General series, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone but an editor for review. In no way did this book blend in with the other three in the series. I totally understand that every author has their own style and technique but this book felt rushed. I thought Camille was a smart, well-rounded individual from catching glances of her in the other novels but she seemed over-protected, na¿ve and dim-witted in this novel. The characters were not thought out, the storyline didn't flow and the typos killed what little interest I had in the book. Too bad I bought thos via nook or I would be on my way to get a refund.

I really enjoyed the ending to the "Hopewell General" Series. After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical about purchasing the book but, I am glad I did I like that she is a Christian writer that writes and does not try to be like everyone else.

I tried to like this book because I loved the other three books in the Hopwell series. This book was filled with typos that are highlighted by the akward writing style, which rob you of really getting into the book and its characters. You suffer and battle through this book, you do not just read it.

Besides the typos the story jumpednall ove the place. It felt like there were times when the scene would fast forward before the current scene was over. I can read a book in one day but this one i walked away from and a week later concluded it.

Out of all of the books in the Hopewell General series, this was my least favorite. I can' t put my finger on what the inconsistency was, but I definitely was not pleased. The situations and dialogue didn't flow like I expected, the character interactions seemed fake and the emotions of the characters were unrealistic. If I didn't know any better I would think that this was Ms. Thomas' first book. Not the worst I've read but FAR from the best. I usually read books like this in a day or so, but I've been working on this one for about a week. I couldn't wait to put it down. Sorry.

This novel was a great finish to a great series. I disagree with the previous reviewer greatly. Although there were typos it didn't take away from the storyline. The novel wrapped up all story lines from the previous books nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed the main characters and felt they worked together nicely.
