About the Author

Author Larry Brasington grew up in the era of the black and white movie when the B movie was king. He watched all the noir-detective stories, thrillers and war movie he could. Larry's first published story in 1968, "Temple in the Swamp," an H. P. Lovecraft-like tale, was the start of his zombie phase.

To date he has published three novels: "Alien Madness," a science fiction book, "Unholy War: the Brandenburgers-Russia 41," an alternative history of WW Two, and "Beyond the Wall," a historical adventure set in 168 AD in Scotland.

In addition, he has a series of fantasy mystery stories in the noir-tradition starring Shane Ireland, Elf Detective. In this series, the world changed when a vaccine meant to protect mankind from a pandemic altered a quarter of the population into Elves, Orcs, Trolls, and a small group became magic users. "Sum Yung Gye" and "The Case of the Missing Husband" are available on Kindle.

Larry has been a judge for the Florida Writers Association Mystery contest and he is actively involved with the Writers Alliance of Gainesville. "
