Book 3 of New York Times Bestselling Author SM Reine's urban fantasy thriller series.
With the previous master vampire out of the way, and Dana McIntyre presumed dead, there's nothing standing between Nissa Royal and her vision for Las Vegas: a city of vampires where humans serve as no more than cattle.
Except that someone keeps killing the vampires who are sweeping the streets for victims. A mysterious killer that nobody can seem to find. Someone bent on stopping Nissa...
Police Chief Charmaine Villanueva is losing control of her city to the Office of Preternatural Affairs. She hopes to appease them with a preliminary cure for vampirism--her last shot at reassuring them that she can keep her citizens safe. Except someone has broken into Holy Nights Cathedral to steal the Garlic Shot, even though the church should be impossible to burgle. She can only think of one person with the ability to steal from the cathedral. But Dana McIntyre's been dead for hours. Hasn't she?
Torn between OPA control and vampire control, Las Vegas is a city on the brink of war missing its guardian angel. It's a high stakes game with no limit. But the house isn't letting any of its players cash out yet...not when the game is just getting hot.

Cashing out, another amazing book an effort by an amazing author follows yet again Dana McIntyre now vampire after on intentionally ingesting human blood against her best efforts. After randomly running into two idiotic humans trying to play with vampires she get some clues and insight into the next steps of her fight against the Paradisos vampires. Meanwhile because of the events with Nissa in the warehouse her friends and family now believe her to be dead, and they are all sad and horrified by this news. Dana was tricked into thinking there was a cure to vampirism by Nissa, and because of the grave mistake of trusting a vampire McIntyre has now taken 20 steps back instead of taking steps forward. While Dana, presumably dead is crawling around the sewers Nissa has come to comfort her family and give them the grave news of Danas death. This most naturally infuriates and breaks the heart of Penny who blames this completely on the other woman. While everyone is morning Anthony continues his investigation with the detective, and has a sneaking intuition that maybe she isn't as dead as reported. For Anthony it's too difficult to believe such a difficult woman could die so easily. Nissan master mohinder has continued with his plans, and Dana must now find some allies and a way to get to him. Mohinder all this while keeps pushing Nissa in the direction of even more evil than she is currently. She starts to grow into her powers which are very very dangerous for both human and vampires alike. While this is happening everyone knows she is dead but doesn't quite believe it and blames Nessa the last vampire that was with her, and also blamed her for all the death that occurred at her own hands. Dana finds an unlikely Ally in the form of a shape shifter and after a testing. They start to work together to take down these evil vampires. This now concerns more than just the humans and vampires as Mohinders plan unfolds. I really enjoyed this book as it gave some insight into Anthony's mind and give me a look at some of the other characters that we have all been curious about since the ascension series ended. We get a quick you into Cesar and his wife with the OPA and learn some hard truths about the Fremont killer. We lose some people and gain some people I'm so very excited to see what happens in the best and last novel of the series great job as usual!!
Just finished Cashing Out and have to say Oh My Gods! It was phenomenal and could not put it down. Dana is so bad a**. I love her but Nissa has so stepped up her game. We finally get to see the end of the Fremont Slasher but a new more evil leader is taking his place. It is nice to see an old character appear. I hope we see more of him. As always there is a ton of action in this book and lots of adventure.
Fast Paced and Kickass from start to finish. Awesome fast paced with all the Good Bad and Ugly/Pretty come out to play. Dana has new found skills that she is learning to use aganist the Vampires she hates even if those skills come with becoming a full Vampire herself. there is twists and turns throughout this book. Don't want to give to much away but this is a must read as more characters from the past show themselves.
I really liked this book. Cant wait for the next one.
