The overall story of Cassidy was very romantic and contained some good action and suspense and I liked it. I did not like it as much as some other [author: Lori Wick] books I have read however. There was an awkwardness in the writing that I did not understand, every so often it would say "that lady" instead of "she" and it always made me stop and pause losing where I was because it stood out so much. I do look forward to reading [book: Sabrina] soon.

I love Lori Wick books, so I enjoyed this. I like her historical fiction best so I was pleased she took a break from contemporary fiction to write another historical series. I am missing the depth of character that I had come to expect with Wick's books. I do love how she weaves study of the scripture into her stories.

I love Lori Wick and have read almost all of her books since the time I was about 10 to now (I am 27). She is my favorite author. This is well written but I honestly did not enjoy this book as much as any of her other book series. I am hoping Jessie and Sabrina are far better than this one, which although decent, seeed to be lacking.

Disappointing. I have read and enjoyed some of Lori Wick's other books (the Place Called Home seriers and the Yellow Rose Trilogy). This book was very much a disappointment. The men were chauvinistic, the women simpering whiners, and the pastor's messages were very corny. I was almost offended by his "yawn or gasp" message. It was ridiculous, and contributed nothing to the plot. If my pastor were to preach that message, I'd be tempted to look for a new church! I am a Christian and greatly appreciate spiritual truths interspersed within the plot of a book, but it has to be done the right way, or it comes off as unnatural and forced. I feel this book is guilty of that. There were too many sermons preached and not enough of the characters having a real connection with the Lord. The church constantly being caleld the "church family" kind of rubbed me the wrong way too. Yes, churches are supposed to be families, but the way it was done in the book, it was made to seem a little too perfect. I felt it also made the characters seem to naive and irrevelant. THat kind of thing gives Christians a bad name. Lori Wich needs to stop writing, or at least take a break until she has fresh inspiration

Cassidy will catch your heart and attention. This story has a great romantic plot. I love this book. Once you start this book you will not be able to put it down until you have finished it. Lori Wick is at her best here. She is my favorite author of all time and she will not disappoint you with this one. I own all of her books, and this one is great. Make sure you read Jesse and Sabrina as well. They will all capture your hearts. Lori Wick will always make you smile, love, cry and dream. I love it.

I love this book!! The setting is 1880, Montana Territory. A young girl settles in Token Creek. She does not want her brother to find her. Things are looking up. She opens a small sewing shop, makes new friends, and grows in her relationship with God. Eventually, her brother finds her and attempts to destroy her. Good friends and God are on her side. Lori Wick never disappoints fans. Once again, she offers readers a beautifully written love story.

I am 16 and reading this book it was probably the best thing that ever happened. It really hit me. It felt like I was Cassidy and the book was ment for me. I too have secrets about my life that only my closest friends know. As i contiued to read i relized that the book was ending and i was really sad I did not want it to end. It was truly amazing. The way Trace Holden was protraied is everything i want in a husband. I loved the part after abi was beat up how her and rylyn were talking and she said how could god let this happen to me? and he said think about how many things he did not let happen. That is so true how often do people ever stop and say wow how many other things could of happened to me that god stopped? This is by far the best book i have ever read.
