Overview

Those who love Lilian Jackson Braun's Cat Who... mysteries know that the residents of Moose County are as discerning in their gastronomical tastes as the finicky felines who star in the novels. Now readers can enjoy the kind of feast that can only be found four hundred miles north of everywhere—with recipes for Polly's Picnic Brownies, Sea Scallops with Saffron Cream on Angel Hair Pasta, Mulligatawny Soup, Marinated Mushrooms, Thanksgiving Potatoes, Vonda's Chocolate Whoppers, and more. And for those who want to pamper their pets, The Cat Who...Cookbook features a section called "Feline Fare"—featuring some of Koko and Yum Yum's favorite treats.

Even if you aren't a fan of "The Cat Who" books, the recipes are Great! Simple instructions, easily found ingredients, and the results are mouthwatering. If you are a fan of "The Cat Who" books, you will doubly enjoy this cookbook. Each chapter is one of the book Titles, and the recipes that follow are from that specific book. So, if your mouth watered over reading about Mrs. Cobb's Meatloaf, you can now turn that savory experience into reality and munching enjoyability! I highly recommend this cookbook.

This is a cute cookbook for LJB fans. It's been a long time since I read about Koko, Yum Yum and Qwilleran but this book brought it all back. I even added the 'Sauced Broccoli' to the menu already in place the day I bought the book and it was excellent! The entire book is a nice read...the recipes and the novel tidbits too.

i bought this years ago because Julie Murphy was actually my fourth and fifth grade teacher. of course, in fourth grade, i can only burn toast but my parents loved it. she was an amazing teacher and i did a pretty sweet anteater project for her
