Once again we get to see inside the heart of a different couple of Destructive Delta, this time around we get to know Calvin Summers and Ethan Hobbs better. From the very beginning I loved the fact that Ethan was diagnosed with selective mutism and severe anxiety. Selective mutism is not something we often see in books, I won't lie I was a little afraid it would be difficult to get to know Hobbs as there isn't much dialogue from him because of his mutism but through Ethan, Charlie Cochet reminds us that we can learn more about people and their heart from their actions than the words they speak. As with Against the Grain we get to learn more of Calvin and Hobbs' story with them being the focus but all the members of Delta and a few THIRDS agents are also here so it needs to be read in order as well. Catch gives us insight into Calvin and Ethan but it also furthers the journey of all involved. Sometimes when you think you are getting answers what you really are getting is more questions. So having said that, I am off to read #7.

Catch A Tiger By The Tail is Calvin and Hobbs' story! They've been best friends for years, making sure they have each other's back. Calvin has known that he loved Ethan for a long time now, but Ethan has issues to work through, one of which being that he really doesn't like change. One of the best bits of this book was when Ethan was telling Calvin about what happened with Dr Shultzon, and how the 'good' doctor said he was broken. I think I actually heard my heart break in two at that point! However, Calvin soon put a band-aid on it with his response. He really does know Ethan better than Ethan knows himself. However, Calvin also needs to place his trust in his partner a bit more, to realise that he can't protect Ethan from everything, and that Ethan can actually cope with more than Calvin realises. This book is all about Calvin and Ethan, but we get regular appearances from the rest of Destructive Delta, plus Ethan's brothers. There is one bit involving a character that I have loved to loathe up until the part where I read his 'why'. Now, everyone has a reason for how they act, but this one...? This one slayed me. And now I can't loathe him anymore! Instead, I'm turning those feelings towards Dr Shultzon!!! Incredible writing once again, with no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed, plus a horrible cliffhanger that will leave you wanting to pounce on the next book immediately. Which, if you'll excuse me, I'm just about to do! Highly recommended by me. * Verified Purchase ~ April 2017 * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

One of the things I love most about Calvin and Ethan was the fact that they have unflinchingly had each others backs since childhood. Ethan is a big, strong, tiger therian whose strength and fierceness protects Calvin physically, whereas Calvin uses his heart and words to protect Ethan mentally and emotionally. These two, no matter what adversity throws at them, are solid. But, that friendship is strained when love is thrown into the mix…and even though I knew they would persevere I was still glad that Ethan seemed to jump on the boyfriend wagon a lot easier than Ash did. And call 9-1-1, because as quiet as Ethan is, he is a tiger in the sack. I was kinda hoping he would be fierce in the bedroom and he did not disappoint. Calvin is a happy boy. I loved learning more about Ethan’s selective mutism, and especially had an “awe” moment when he was finally able to speak to his older brother, Rafe. Oh man, poor Rafe. I had no idea I could end up feeling bad for that guy, but I was really feeling his pain. Ethan, Seb, and Rafe have had it rough, and I was thrilled they seem to be on the road to recovery. I’m sure we will be getting a lot more from that front. Even though this is mainly an Ethan and Calvin book, we still get a solid dose of Dex, Sloane, Ash, Cael, and the others….and it’s the others that pulled me in most. I can’t wait to see how Hudson and Seb repair their relationship. Those two have it bad, and it gets worse…but hopefully it gets better soon. And, as I’ve been coming to expect, we get a nice little cliffhangar which thrills me to no end that our next book will about Dex and Sloane, again. And with an ending like that, I can’t wait.

This is the 6th book in the THIRDS series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. Due to the content and continuing story lines, I recommend reading this series in order. Calvin and Ethan have been best friends since they were small. Now they are partners at work. No one fully gets their relationship. Calvin wants more and Ethan has issues he does not want to have Calvin deal with. Ethan also has family who add to the problems. He loves them dearly but they add to his own stress. Can he make a life with the one person who means the most? Calvin never asks too much of him. Can they learn to lean on each other when it matters more? I found this long awaited book so precious. I did not want to put it down. These characters are so much fun to read!
