Do you like puns? Well, get ready for a ton of fun, then, cuz this book has puns galore! Just take a look at the names of the characters (Adam Steer --- and that means he's a what? a duck?). This is a fun mystery full of "old style" film noir atmostphere, but without any of the scary stuff. It looks like it might be for littler kids, say 8 and up, who might read it themselves, but when you read the book, you'll instantly know that it's for anyone of any age to enjoy. It's also enjoyable to read out loud, if you do that sort of thing at home. (And if you don't, well, really you should try that sometime. Reading out loud to your kids can be fun and an easy "bonding" activity.) The characters are well drawn, which is good, cuz apparently the author comes from a cartoon background! Over all, it's pretty much just like the cover - cute, cartoony, and accessible for all.
