Cattus Magicus is the first part of a trilogy about six Very Important Cats (the VICs) who include Fifi, Hector, Chad, Luigi and the long-lost Midas, each of whom who can do magic by the twitch of their tails. Enslaved by witches for hundreds of years, they escaped when their owner-witches were hanged at the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. Today, they are magic cats living in the real world, whose sole purpose in life is to help children with problems, whilst at the same time trying to avoid being re-enslaved into the witch world.

I loved this book. It's all about five magical talking cats, each with their very own special character and they speak exactly the way one would expect a cat to talk if cats could. It's hilariously funny - my ten year old son loved it as much as I did. Immensely enjoyable and a would make a wonderful stocking filler for Christmas.
I loved this little book. Talking cats that 'twitch' their tails to do magic. Utterly charming. A must read for adult and children alike.
