4 1/2 stars!! I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads Wow and I must say wow. From the first page and on the book grabbed onto my attention. Sexy, fast-paced and fun with an integrating story line. Vega is a strong, independent woman main character who gets hurt by her life's past mistakes that put a damper on her dreams until she meets the sexy JP. The chemistry between the two characters nearly crackle out of the book like fireworks. I absolutely love how well thought-out and rounded characters Kim Law had made out of Vega and JP. Their pain, anger and passion making them a big part of who they are and how entertaining this book has been. The secrets that both harbored and carried with them left it a page turner that was hard to put down until I learned them all. Beautiful book, and beautiful writing. The ending really swelled my heart, and it was almost a shame that it already ended.

This debut novel by Kim Law has it all! I give it 4 ½ to 5 stars! There is heat, romance, and tons of secrets that keep you guessing! Can love or lust be found by bidding on a steamy hero at a charity bachelor auction? You will have to read the book to find out! I know I would love to go out on a date with JP Davenport; he is a sweet, romantic hero that will do anything for the woman he loves. So different from what we think of politicians to be or the playboy he is known to be by the community. While the heroine, Vega is a spitfire by nature, who lost some of her fire in her haunted past. Can JP help heal her wounds while allowing her to heal ones he didn't know he had? This book was a wild ride, because it made me feel a great number of emotions for the couple. There was fear, worry, love, and of course lust! I can't wait to read the next installment by this new and upcoming author!

4.5 Stars Reviewed by Angela and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Caught on Camera is Kim Law’s debut novel and yes, I’m a little late in the game. I actually started with her Sugar Springs series then Turtle Island as they released in the past. Kim Law is an auto-read author for me and since Caught in the Act releases this month; I obviously need to catch up. I will confess, I’ve read the ARC for the second installment as well and IT IS GOOD! IMO, both novels are stand-alones but I still recommend reading from the start of the series.. It just gives you a better feel for the characters. This novel had The Kennedys/Cinderella theme to it. I loved Law’s voice here; it’s different. Compare to her Sugar Springs and Turtle Island series, which I totally love by the way; this had a different voice to it. I can’t quite put my finger on it. It may be because I connected with their screwed up family drama or the character build up was done differently. I was fascinated with the family’s role as politicians. The need to be perfect in the public’s eyes yet the truth is they are filled with betrayals, disappointments and emotionally distraught children who has to live with their parents’ mistakes. The best part of it is that despite all of that, they managed to live their own lives and find happy-ever-after. And with all that being said, JP and Vega’s story is still a light-hearted story. It was a quick read, sweet, filled with humor and a healthy amount of sexy. If this is the type of books you like, I recommend to start here; as well as Law’s Sugar Springs series. I love her books.

I really enjoyed Kim Law's debut book. The chemistry between JP and Vega is sizzling. The sex scenes are just perfect. They both had past histories that they had to over come. Looking forward to reading more from Kim Law
