Hot single daddy.
Arrogant. Rude. Older.
Totally off limits... right?
Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls.
Dark, tall and mysterious, he's a newcomer to our little town. He's a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy.
Plus, he's looking for a nanny - and I am desperately looking for a job.
Sounds like the perfect deal.
Only he's a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude.
But oh, so s*xy.
And I need the job. I can do this.
One thing is for sure: I can't fall for the Caveman. No matter how sexy he is. How mysterious. How tortured.
That's the only rule - and one I'm about to break.

This is a rather intense book involving broken characters. Some are more broken than others. Matt is one who is barely hanging on by a thread. He has two small children and is a widower. He picks up his kids and moves to a little town called Destiny to get away from the pain of losing his wife but is in such a bad state himself that he is not functioning well and his kids are suffering because of it. He tries to hire a nanny but has not met with success so he is depending on a housewife down the street who is too busy to really look after the kids. He has an interview with another potential nanny, Octavia or Tati for short. When she shows up he tells her to go away and slams the door in her face. She really needs the job and is angry with him. She thinks he's a caveman with no manners. The next day she is making the rounds again and stops at the garage that Matt is working at because she was told they needed a secretary but the owner and his son are nasty, name calling jerks and Matt steps in when she gets manhandled. He tells them she works for him and tells her to be at his house at 8 the next morning. Thus starts the most tormented relationship ever. It's full of drama and angst, then terror as someone is stalking Matt that eventually sills over to Tati. His kids are kidnapped, then Tati goes missing and somewhere in there they both realize they have fallen in love. The ending is better than it seemed like it was going to be and the author includes a bonus book ending as well as s verbal other books.
