The Caves Of Fear
Step into a night where fear tightens its grip and every creak of the old house speaks. The Caves Of Fear is a relentless blend of classic horror fiction and adventure mystery thriller, set in an early twentieth century world where human resilience is tested under pressure and in the shadowed corridors of an old dark house. In a confined, perilous space, characters confront danger, doubt, and the eerie hush of a gothic adventure that keeps the heart racing and the mind guessing. It is more than a survival tale; it is a study in courage, wit, and the instinct to endure when the walls close in. For readers and collectors alike, the book offers historical texture and atmosphere-an authentic early twentieth century setting rendered with clear, modern storytelling energy that respects the original mood while inviting contemporary sensibilities. It marks a significant moment in British public domain fiction, a testament to how fear, bravery, and mystery translate across generations. This edition is part of a careful, reverent restoration that honours the manuscript's texture and pacing, making it a satisfying entry for both casual readers and classic-literature connoisseurs. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint - a collector's item and a cultural treasure. A cornerstone for the horror fans collection and a complete public domain work that echoes timeless themes and thrills.

About the Author

Harold Leland Goodwin, aka John Blaine (1914 - 1990) was an American writer. Known to his friends as Hal Goodwin, Goodwin wrote popular science books, mostly about space exploration, as Harold L. Goodwin, "Hal Goodwin" and "Harold Leland Goodwin". He also wrote children's books as Blake Savage (Rip Foster Rides the Gray Planet) and John Blaine (the Rick Brant series). In the latter case, he co-wrote (with Peter J. Harkins) the first 3 books in the series and wrote books 4 through 24 by himself. In 1947, he wrote The Feathered Cape, a boy's adventure novel set in Hawaii. It was based on events leading up to the Battle of the Nu'uanu Valley (1795) in the war for Hawaiian unification.
