This 6000 word short story was sold to the British professional SF magazine FAR POINT, but the magazine folded before publication, and rights reverted to the author.

Born 1948, the author has retired after a career in electronics and technical authorship with a number of British companies. He has had occasional articles on Japanese animation and other subjects published in news-stand magazines. For fun, he still watches Japanese animation.
