Meet the Author
Matt Christopher (1917-1997) was an American writer of children's books. He wrote more than 400 novels and short stories, mainly featuring sports. After his death, his family has overseen the production of ghost written books under his name. Born in Bath, Pennsylvania, Christopher was a gifted athlete as a child, which influenced his primary topic of writing. In addition to sports books, he also enjoyed writing detective fiction; his first published novel before the successful The Lucky Baseball Bat was Look for the Body, a murder mystery written for adults.

Daren McCall is a middle school basketball player for the Rangers who loses his temper on the basketball court. Daren's temper causes technical fouls which upsets his team. Daren and his teammate, Lou Bettman, argue and fight. As the season goes on the whole team starts to break apart. Read this book to find out what happens.I found this book fun to read. Great book for 5th and 6th graders.
I think that they have ups and downs and if they do that one more time the team is going to braek up and it will be a mess.
