Ready for a steamy, forty-something romance?
A seductive older woman
A mysterious younger man
A calculating ex-husband who won't let go ...
Thanks to her philandering husband, Shayna Chastain's twenty-five-year marriage crashed and burned. Maybe she really should thank him for that. After all, Shayna has turned the gut-wrenching heartbreak into a reawakening of the abandoned dreams from her youth.
And then there's the handsome, younger man in her life . . .
Sean Parker owns an Italian restaurant that has become Shayna's oasis. Their mutual attraction is instant, but the fallout from their relationship will last a lifetime. Because behind Sean's clean-cut, stylish exterior hides an unsavory past he has no intention of disclosing. What matters to him is right now. And right now, there's no way in hell he's going to lose the only woman he's ever loved. The only woman he can't live without.
It could all be perfect, if only her meddling ex would get out of the way . . .
Frank Chastain is a steely real estate mogul, who begrudgingly signed the dissolution papers Shayna forced on him. He never wanted to divorce the love of his life, always believed they could work it out. She'll be back. He's sure of it. And, now, more than ever, he needs that to be true. Because he needs Shayna to help him seal the lid shut on the secret that's threatening to destroy him.
When the deadly consequences of secrets and lies shatter Shayna's world, she will be left to pick up the pieces, alone, once again.

Reviewed by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite Chain of Title by Robyn Roze is an exceptional novel with great characters and an even better storyline. You will be hooked from page one. The story follows three people and their lives, and how they are interconnected to each other. When Shayna Chastain walked away from her marriage, she wanted nothing to do with the woman she once was. She wanted to change her life and she wanted to change the person she is. Finally free of her cheating husband, she finds solace and refuge in an Italian restaurant and its handsome owner, Sean Parker. They have an amazing chemistry and the sparks fly when they are together. However, even though Sean has changed, his past is very disturbed. He wants nothing to do with it, but he has no control over it. He truly loves Shayna, but when the past comes knocking, who can stop it? Can anyone control their past? What will Shayna do when she finds out that the second man she trusted is not who he says he is? It is an exceptionally well written novel that had me hooked from the moment I opened the novel. I loved the resilience of Shayna and how she stood up for herself. I admired her determination and I loved the fact that she was willing to bounce back after the disaster of her marriage. I liked Sean as well. He was a cool guy who changed his life and turned it all around. I loved the chemistry between them and I absolutely loved the fact that their relationship grew along with their characters. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Plus, I loved the cover very, very much!
Did not see this one coming. I loved it for that reason. Some bad things happen and I love characters that don't apologize for who they are. This wasn't a typical romance which I really liked too. There's definitely relationship stuff going on and family drama, but then there's so much more sort of like real life. It's really a mixed bag and was done well. I will be recommending this book to my friends and checking out this authors other books. Oh, yeah, and to answer the question at the end of the book--YES, I want more! :) Thanks for an unexpected great read.
This book was difficult to put down. Lots of twists and turns. Just when I thought I had i figured out....I didn't. Loved the characters and would like to see of them back in a future book. Ahhh Sean Parker .... I want more!!!!
