She lives in the UK, with her partner, two small children, two small dogs and a cat who all follow her around the house at the same time.

If there is any time left she writes speculative fiction that entertain people but at the same time makes them think. Her work has been described as 'thought-provoking'. Her writing is about love, advocating for lgbt equality and animal welfare.

In her writing she also deals with big psychological and ethical themes and struggles of life such as death, love and loss, abuse and the consequences of our actions. 'The Queen's Curse' was her debut novel and has been a Canadian and Australian Best-Seller.
It's a heroic Spiritual/Paranormal Fantasy novel in the old tradition, yet with original and surprising elements. It attracts attention from a wide range of people, both straight and gay as it deals with many issue's such as: justice/injustice, power, lesbian romance, freedom, adventure, magic, immortality, intrigue, soul searching, love, life, loss, near death experience and sword and sorcery.
In this book the author explores more than the ancient battle between good and evil so common in Fantasy literature. What is evil and how does someone become bad? Available for Kindle and in Paperback.

Mrs Hellenthal is influenced by writers such as Tanith Lee, Kahlil Gibran and Hermann Hesse.

She is currently working on a new Lesbian Fantasy novel called Sky Whisperers.

Book 1 in the Epic Supernatural Fantasy Comyenti Series, 'Call Off The Search' was published on the 26th of December 2013 and is available both for Kindle and in Paperback.
The dramatic sequel,'Children Of The Sun' has just been released on Amazon.

Great paranormal fantasy book I love to read paranormal fantasy books and this one certainly didn’t disappoint me. As I read on and got deeper into the mystery of the story I wondered how Tana would get herself out of the prison. Then I got to think about how many people make their own prison with their beliefs and by the way they cope with life. I give the author 5 stars for the clever way she weaved this story. Great book.

If you love fantasy, you can’t miss this exciting epic by author Natasja Hellenthal.  A young woman finds herself trapped in another land. Not one to give out any spoilers, this book is so compelling, you won’t be able to put down. I found myself thinking about the well-written characters long after I finished. Filled with adventure, mystery, and paranormal, I highly recommend!!!

Hellenthal's "Chained Freedom" is impressive:  dark forces trap our heroine, Woodwolf, in a strange land and a strange tower from which  prisoners never return.  At the story's heart is the eternal questions:  What is freedom worth?

This is what a short story should be, riviting and enthralling from the fist paragraph to the last.

It's only 38pgs, a short little story, not bad, overall 3.5.

I found this to be an unusual tale told in a unique way. It gives me pause to reflect upon my own outlook and self talk. It is mysterious and almost has the feel of a fable. There are questions unanswered when finished. But those are what make this short story - this fairytale if you will - compelling. Thank you for this free story.

The point of the take is be good in your heart and never let darkness take hold no matter how easy giving in can be. Only wish it was longer.

Author Natasja Hellenthal is a wonderful storyteller, and this story is yet another illustration of that fact. Reminded me in part of the classic fairytale Bluebeard's Castle, but with a dynamic modern telling. Chained Freedom is a story about the chains that bind us all, inside and out. "Look and be free..."

Tana Woodwolf holds the attention of the townspeople with her story. It's not a fairy tale; it's a true story. And it's her story. With his magic, the Wizard transports people to his remote tower. He forces them to work the land and serve his needs. Current prisoners pass on information to the new prisoners. First, do not try to escape. Second, if you do try to escape, the magical shield will stop you. And third, do not bring yourself to the attention of the Wizard. From time to time, prisoners are summoned to the Wizard's living quarters. They are never seen again. "We had to provide for our own food and needs; if not we would simply wither away and die. Those were the options; live or die while we waited for our unknown destiny up there in the tower, which was most likely death." Natasja Hellenthal's Chained Freedom is a short yet powerful paranormal mystery/fantasy. An important lesson is people many times fashion their own prisons. And they hold the power to free themselves.

It was a good story, but it didn't paint a picture. The book seemed rushed and jumped around. I liked the storyline but it didn't grab me as a reader.
