...because sometimes big changes are too much to take...
Sarah Fowler has spent her life accepting mediocrity. Being a plus-sized girl with only average looks, her self esteem leaves a lot to be desired.

Dane McAllister is a heart-throb of a man who has his own demons. Having a rocky past, he has all but sworn off women. But when he sees Sarah, his world begins to turn again. There's something about her that draws him in.
Will Dane be able to truly overcome his past and be the man Sarah longs for, or will he deepen her lifelong wounds?

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. I gave this book 4.5 stars. This is the first book that I have read from Lynn. It is a standalone. This is Sarah and Dane's book. Sarah is a bigger girl and with that has come issues because it seems that not everyone accepts her the way she is .. They are always telling her that she would be more beautiful if she lost the weight. The only people she can count on are her father, sister, and best friend Jenna. When her father passes away. She feels like her whole life is out of control. She moves away from home and goes to college. A couple of years pass and she is out of college and has choices to make regarding her job and her life. She is in a comfortable relationship that has no spark, but she feels because of the way she looks that it might be the only relationship she will ever have and she needs to suck it up and be happy with what she has. That is until she meets Dane. Dane has been hurt and lost the girl of his dreams 6mths ago to her career when she moved away. Now he just wants to be a regular guy and go home and relax after work and not worry about all the stuff that goes on in a crazy wild life. He is a trainer at a club and although he gets tons of numbers from beautiful women he is tired of living that life, and is ready to just settle down and relax. But he can't seem to find a woman that is not after something. Sarah and Dane both go out on a night with their friends, Sarah is celebrating her graduation, and Dane is celebrating his birthday. This is where she meets Dane, and her bff meets Matt. Sarah and Dane's love is instant! They fall head over heels and you get to follow their journey as they figure out life together. Can Sarah learn to trust another with the way she feels about herself and let those walls fall? And is Dane ready to give 100% to someone after he has just been hurt ?? I really did like this book, first the one thing that bothered me is that it went SO fast! I mean it was hello and I love you almost in the same second. Yes I do believe in love at first sight. But I think that their relationship could have went just a little bit slower. It did have just the right amount of her BFF in the book though, we do learn about Jenna and Matt and we get a glimpse into their story. The other thing that bothered me a little was Jeanie's we get ONE chapter of her, and WOW that woman's life was just messed up. But that is all we get. I think that maybe we should have gotten a totally different book for her. Or nothing at all.. It left me wanting more. That being said I gave the book a 4.5 and that is why. Otherwise the book was perfect. I loved the writing and after the initial falling in love after one second the book flowed very well and it was awesome how it went ahead a few weeks or a few months at a time and showed what happens to them a little faster then just day to day. Dane was the perfect man, he was loving and caring and loved her for what was on the inside. He loved her just the way she was. And expected her to stay that way. It was refreshing to read. And yes she had insecurities but we all do. This had a few surprises in it and I loved that too. In the end we get our HEA of course. I wish their would have been a little bit of a epilogue so we could have learned a little bit more, but I am an epilogue girl. I love them. Would have loved it but not necessary. Thank you Lynne for your wonderful story. It was beautifully written. And I really connected with Sarah on so many levels. She was an amazing woman. I look forward to reading more from you in the future. I hope you turn this into a series and we have not heard the last from our beautiful couple Dane and Sarah<3
