About the Author

Trey Rood, a former three-sport athlete during high school with the passion and love of football, is a twenty-two-year-old senior at University of Georgia and member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, Delta Chapter. Trey was diagnosed with stage III melanoma cancer near the end of his freshman year of high school, then relapsed to stage IV melanoma the start of his senior year. In the book, "Changing the Game Plan," Trey and his mother Cherie tell their compelling story of how they fought melanoma, one of the deadliest forms of cancer. They not only show their will to do whatever it takes to survive, but to also stay positive, never give up hope, and keep the faith through an experience that will inspire many.

If you are facing the uncertainty of melanoma or any other type of cancer for that matter, this is a must read. Trey's story is truly inspiring as I read about this young man and his family. From his diagnosis to his mother's quest to seek a treatment that would help him, you will admire this young man's courage and how he kept the faith throughout. You will not be able to put this book down.
