This is a great book that needs to be read by those leading churches, ministries and Christian schools. These type of leaders are supposed to be servants but that is hardly the case today. Our seminaries are training CEOs to head up these organizations since church ministry is seen as a business venture. This is contradictory to what the Bible teaches. Christian leaders are supposed to be servant leaders that shepherd the people. Most leadership today centers around the use of business and marketing techniques to grow a megachurch. However, God's measure of success is how you treated those under your charge. Most church related leaders see the people as a means to get to their next measure of success. Rather than caring for the sheep, these leaders use and abuse the sheep to attain their own agendas. One only has to look at the depravity that characterizes America to realize this approach has been a failure. Church leaders need to read this book to get them back to the basics of caring for and discipling their people.
