This should have been one book, not a series. I'm astounded that they charged 4 & 5 dollars for approximately150 pages to read one fourth of a book. Shame on the author and publisher.

First I want to say this story is so very good! such a good build up of characters and true relationships and funny too. The angst is there and you feel the pain and heartbreak. But im so disappointed in the way this authors book are split up into four books for more profit! 150 pages for 5 dollars each is insane! Im sure this will be the last time ill ever buy them this way! I don't think its the authors doing and its such a shame, since I truly enjoy the writings of EL Todd. There are so many other authors that sell for 3 dollar's with 350 pages that are just as good!

I read this book in a about day!!! I could hardly put it down and now I'm hooked on this series. I kept thinking I knew where the book was going and I'm glad I was wrong every time, it's made the book even more enjoyable for a book worm like me.

Do I care enough to purchase part 2? No. The characters found frienship while messing around with others. I found the whole thing shallow.

Volt and Taylor can't seem to get on the same page. I can't wait to see what's next.

Volt was hurt by betrayal from his ex. It altered his outlook on relationship and women. In comes Taylor and turns his world upside down. She breaks down all of his walls and becomes his best friend. But his feelings change. Looking forward to the rest of the series. A story filled with passion, love, the past, and friendship.

Volt is a player, but despite that fact I love him. He’s been hurt and that hurt has caused him to be more closed off to the possibility of love and a future relationship. He is a protective alpha male and that is the reason I adore him. On some characters it doesn’t work but for Volt, it is pure electric alpha male goodness! Taylor. I love her. Some heroines tend to annoy me but she’s a great character. She has heart and a soul. I can see why Volt drifts towards her, he can’t help but be around her personality. Her ability to see goodness in people! They are some predictable revelations but it sets the path for more drama to come so I am so excited to see that play out! For a new series, this is a great start! A new explosive series for me to fall completely in love with. I have loved this book so much. It has everything you need for a great read; likeable characters, a plotline that keeps you reading and of course it has a great writing style that makes you want more and more as you near the end of this book. 5 stars!

5 Stars! Enchanting, enjoyable and full of swoon. Definitely a memorable page-turner! Told in dual POV’s, this read had me hooked from the moment it opens, with a prologue that is downright heartbreaking. And the feels just kept on coming as this book explores a broken man and an awkward woman who connect in the most fundamental way. I loved every minute of their rapport, attraction and affection. Such a fabulous read! Story/Characters... Volt Rosenthal has been burned ... incinerated beyond repair. On the day he’s set to propose, he’s betrayed in the worse possible way and everything inside of him shuts down. He loses all faith in humanity and with his trust shattered, he no longer finds comfort even in the ones who love him most. His entire personality changes overnight and now he saturates himself in meaningless one-night stands and avoids emotional connections at all costs. But somehow, Taylor worms her way in. Taylor has just moved to New York to start working for a posh private high school after completing her own schooling to become a teacher. She reconnects with her best friend, Sara, and is delighted to be making new friends in her first few days of her new job. She’s not really looking but is definitely open for a relationship and knows that when she does find someone, she wants someone who’s stable and ready to settle down. Interest flares the moment she spots Volt across a bar room, but soon she realizes his penchant for one-night stands goes against her own needs and after an awkward pass and fumble, these two embark on a remarkable friendship. I loved how these two chose to interact with one another. They were fun and energetic and honest. They truly knew themselves well enough to put their attraction on hold long enough to become best friends ... and watching their platonic relationship turn into a slow burn was something special. They had definite chemistry but they needed their friendship more. I loved the writing. It was brilliant and strong and kept me glued to the pages. And I loved this story. These two are at separate ends of the spectrum but also unconsciously barreling towards one another. Volt is confused but even in his denial, you could tell his feelings for Taylor went beyond friendship. And poor Taylor, she decided right from the start to only see Volt in a platonic way so she wouldn’t get hurt. But I think, given the right push, she’s going to open her eyes and her heart and see things differently. There are several secrets between Volt and Taylor, starting with who his father is, how he feels about her and of course, the big reveal of who is past ex is. I’m pretty sure I know that big reveal which I hope comes in the next book, and I’m also sure, when it happens, things are going to go nuclear! And I can’t wait!! That ending was intense! Knowing that Volt is going to have to set his fears aside to win his girl is going to be interesting and I can’t wait to watch the sparks fly and the budding chemistry turn into a tempting seduction. The Wrap Up: This was a fantastic read that shows how the power of true love can mend even the most broken of hearts. And after that proclamation at the end, I can’t wait for book two. I want those explosive answers and I want the angsts and I want the romance and I know the author is going to give it to us, because the build up was beautifully done. Definitely recommending this one.

I read the "teaser" Electric" which was the first part of this book. This is a good story. At first I thought this was going to run along the same lines as previous books, but this had an interesting turn. Looking forward to the next.
