Overview

A visit with her grandmother doesn't turn out the way she planned.

Hannah Crane is stuck. Having just graduated college, she's living at home and has no idea what she wants to do with her life. She turns to her grandmother for advice, but when she's startled by a wolf, everything changes.

In the forest investigating a recent rash of murders and missing shifters, werewolf Caleb Overstreet doesn't expect to run into a human, let alone a witch. And especially not a woman whose scent awakens his hunger.

As the secrets of her ancestry are revealed, Caleb and Hannah are unable to stay away from each other, putting Hannah in danger. A rival pack believes her to be the key to a curse that would enable them to control other shifters. But is Hannah a wolf charmer or is she really Caleb's fated mate?

I can't believe others recommend this book. She jumps off story line, doesn't establish her story well. This is WEAK! Feels like it should be marketed as YA and even then, its not really good enough.

This was a good story. Little red riding hood vs the wolf (her mate). Just over 100 pgs. Was good. Had detail but time didnt match with the moon and seamed to skip around. Hannah thought she was a human but a witch who talked to the dead. She goes to the forest to visit her grandma pea, who is dead, and was inturupted by a wolf. Who than shifts to a human and tells her to leave the forest. But he has a hard time with it since she is his mate. They solve the mystery of the missing shifters. Kristy dean

Okay so I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it. It was okay, not really a page turner for me. It was kind of dry, not hot or sexy in the least. The whole story was just eh. I didn't really relate to Hannah, she just kind of sat down and accepted everything her mother and grandmother told her without question just so she wouldn't stir anything up. Her mother did the same thing. That whole Jersey Devil curse thing was just confusing as hell. Also it was a bit irritating how Hannah totally dismissed her father once he was back. I mean it was obvious he wasn't in her life through no fault of his own, but she acted like he was no one to her. And the whole hair thing...bit much and took too damn long to explain as well, something as simple as that should have been explained within the first mention, not towards the end of the damn book! Oh and what was Pinky's role in everything? Or her father's? He seemed important to the council but that wasn't explained, it was left up in the air. IDK...this just didn't interest me. I see that many other readers enjoyed it and that's fine but it just wasn't the book for me... SR

Although Charming The Alpha was a quick short read, I thought it was fabulous. It had the romance, some mystery, shifters, and witches. I recommend this book to paranormal lovers.

Loved this one from beginning to end, I couldn't put it down till I finished! Loved Caleb and Hannah, two great characters you could (no pun intended) sink your teeth into!!!

This author has a way of grabbing you from page one and not letting go. Caleb is all alpha all the time and everyone around him knows it including Hannah. There is love and angst and chivalry isn't dead even if somewhat misplaced. The villian is just that and he has a little help along the way. Just like all of her other books you won't go wrong giving this book your time and attention.

The plot was not a huge problem. Girl meets broody boy, and falls in Lust. Girl learns about hidden secrets, etc..... they live happily ever after. It's cliche but if you have good plot and character development it makes for a pretty okay read. Unfortunately this book didn't have the little things that would make this read well. There were too many jumps. It seemed like we had just barely been told that she was a witch and then we moved on to the not-so-startling-realization that she's also a soul mate and a wolf and important to a plot to rid the world of la de da de da. Which is all fine and dandy IF you connect the dots and make the story flow.

I know that two stars looks like I did not enjoy this book, but I did. However the plot is a little thin, the characters are not fully developed and the entire things is a bit sloppy. On the other hand its a cute story - it just needs a little more work.

The idea is great the execution is really lacking. Wanted to like it. Stilted conversation. One night her ankle is so twisted she can't walk, but is running out the door the nect. Plit is confusing too.

I couldn't finish the book...thankfully it was FREE and I could delete it from my library. This had the makings of a great story but the author is either too immature or not well versed in shifter knowledge.
