A great story of love and second chances. Decisions are hard to make. And harder to live by. This story describes how you need to let go and live in the hear and now. A little steamy. Hold on to your heart and have the tissues ready!

***4 Stars*** This was that book that I waffled over a lot because I wanted to know what Stone did that was so bad and yet I didn’t know if I wanted to deal with the angst that would most definitely come with it. But I decided to take a chance and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with the entire story. From just what went down with Stone to how he and Avery and Stone reconnected and finally got their HEA and all that happened in between, I had a difficult time putting the book and NEEDED to find out what would happen with them in the end. Stone and Avery took me on a total roller coaster of a ride throughout the entire book. Sometimes I loved them, sometimes I wanted to Gibbs smack them, but in the end I really liked both of them. As much as Avery drove me a crazy, I loved her strength and how she accomplished all that she did. Stone was a bit of a wild card for me. I got him and could see why he reacted to some things, but man did he try my patience. He kept his heart on lock down and became cynical, but I loved watching as those walls came tumbling down and exposed the man beneath. What a rocky and angsty ride Avery and Stone had. From what tore them apart to them colliding again and working through their issues there was never a dull moment. But what came out of all of it was that they were always meant to be together. The chemistry was intense and when they finally got over their issues it was proof positive that what they had was true. The issues that plagued them went from one extreme to another and I swear I didn’t see half of them coming, but I enjoyed how everything worked out. This is my first read by the author and I really enjoyed it. The writing was engaging and even though I would have liked to have a bit of Stone’s POV of things, the first person POV was done very well. Dovie was my favorite secondary character, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what else Ms. James has planned for the next books in the series. ~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed ~

This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama. I liked the story as well as the chemistry between the characters. The story will drew me in and had me hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it.

CHASING WICKED, THE MITCHELL BROTHERS,- WICKED SERIES BOOK 1, KATHYRN L. JAMES Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:  Romance, erotica Well, a good start to a new series if you like a hot and steamy read. I enjoyed it but I didn't love it. For me I felt the story was a little weak, a wonderful story-line but in practice I felt Stone and Avery had little in common after all those years, and needed to focus a bit more on their lives rather than the hot sex. Still, its erotica as well as romance, and for many readers heat and sensuality is what they want. Its what I love too but I need to feel the story, the characters are real.  I felt for Avery, what an awful thing to happen and understood her actions. Stone, when he found out what happened after, is back in her life and they've both had a huge life change to take in. Not the best time then to leap into sex...but that doesn't stop them. I did feel she was a bit of a doormat for Stone, letting him dictate terms, when she knew that kind of relationship wasn't for her and would break her eventually. As she keeps saying, she's got Savannah to think of.  Stone had been through a lot too, and I wondered how he'd ended up owning all those hotels, 54, given what had happened to him in the intervening 6 years. That's a heck of a business to grow, when its not the family one he was born into. Even if they funded it initially, it takes time to build sucess like that. He was so adamant about a sex only relationship, a friends with benefits was all he could offer and then - well, I found his about turn very hard to take. That quick, after all that stone walling (oops, unintended pun there..) earlier, all those proclamations about what he couldn't do?  There's some drama at the end and maybe that kind of fright would have felt right for me to change his mind, but it wasn't that which did it.  Some of the story lines felt a little unfinished to me, there was a good ending, but it wasn't really clear about reasons and the how and why's of what happened. Maybe that doesn't bother others but it left me thinking "how did that, why did he/she, what about...?"  Stars: Three, a hot, sensual and steamy read if you want just that but for me the story lines felt a little thin.  ARC supplied for review purposes by Netgalley and Publishers
