This was a gift for my boyfriend who loves to bake. I was concerned it would not hold "The Joy of Cooking" cookbook. So many other stands do not hold this book because it's rather large. This stand work great and he loves it. It folds compact and can be easily stored when not in use. Makes a great gift. Great value.

I had been searching for a book holder for several years and all I ever found were those heavy black metal stands that didn't fit my needs, and would be difficult to store as well. Happily, this product is exactly the right stand for viewing any book, single sheet, or diagram/instruction manual for hands-free help. Just as advertised, you adjust for thickness of material, it then swivels if needed, and when finished with your 'read', tucks efficiently into your bookcase. Wish I'd had this great stand while reading "Team of Rivals" last year. By the way, it's very reasonably priced too.

Truly works and the measuring chart is so helpful. Not only does the splatter screen keep the pages clean but I find it keeps the book still for easy reading. I highly recommend this product to anyone. I already bought 3 more to give as gifts and everyone loved them just as much as I did. It is the kind of thing you don¿t appreciate until you use it!

I've had several cookbook holders over the years, but this one is the best. It's sturdy and compact so it doesn't take up much valuable counterspace. I like the clear front panel because it presses the cookbook open so I can see the whole of both pages, and it keeps liquids from splattering all over my cookbooks. This is a very good value.

I love this. It holds every cookbook I have because it is adjustable. The splash screen protects my books and easy to clean. It rotates with ease which is a very handy feature...folds away for easy storage. I just can't say enough. I'm so glad that I made this purchase. I will probably buy more for gifts. A really good product!

Won't hold books, which makes it worthless. Every time I put a book in it falls out. Only works somewhat if on the center page. Pretty worthless if I can only use it for two pages in every book. Sending it back right now.

I purchased this product for a friend on her birthday. She is a wonderful cook and loves using various cookbooks. I thought this would be a great addition to her kitchen. I was correct she loves many things about it but her favorite is how it tucks away very easily with her cook books. I would definately recommend this product.

I purchased the Chef's center cookbook holder for both of my daughters for Christmas. The items arrived as promised. My daughters liked the holder and especially the way it holds their cookbooks and protects the page they are using. It is a simple, attractive holder.

It is just what I have been looking for! Holds even the heaviest, thickest cookbook. I love it!

I recently purchased this and LOVE using it. It's asthetically pleasing and everyone compliments it. I'm sure I'll appreciate the splash guard feature soon enough. It looks very flexible to use with all thicknesses of books but I haven't tested it's capacity too much yet. The spiral bound Betty Crocker book sat in there okay though. The only problem I've had with mine is that after opening it, the acrylic peice was already broken down by the front chrome attachment to the base. When I went to exchange it, the one at the store was already broken too. So make sure you check that the acrylic has not been broken before you leave the store. Also keep in mind there is a spring for the acrylic panel to make it hold the book as flat as possible. So when you remove the back bar, WHAM, it will fall fast. I'd say just use two hands when you're manuevering with your book.

This is perfect for any cookbook collector who also uses their cookbooks. It protects the pages from splatters and kitchen mishaps. It holds the cookbook open at the correct angle to be able to read the recipes without losing one's place on the page. It easily holds thick and thin cookbooks without tipping over. The entire holder folds up for easy and small space storage. Includes a weights and measures conversion chart in the base so you have it nearby if needed. The fashionable color combination complements any kitchen decor. This would be an appreciated gift for a house-warming, bridal shower, or wedding. Also, a perfect gift for yourself if you have been struggling with trying to prop open a cookbook and chasing it across a counter as it slides around.

This is by far the best book holder I have found. Unlike others I have used, it easily adjusts to the thickness of the book you are using, so it doesn't damage the spine of the thick books or open thin books too little for you to be able to read the full text. It also assembles and disassembles very easily, and the support stores neatly in the base so that the whole unit doesn't take up much room in a cupboard. I particularly recommend it for cookbooks, since the clear shield helps to keep the pages clean while you are cooking. It would be better if the shield were larger, but over all it is an excellent product.

This item caught my eye because it seemed to have an array of features which suggested that it might be a well though-out product. Unfortunately, it's not the thought that counts, because I found that the the features--however well considered--only really amounted to the convolution of what otherwise might have been a functional product. I wound up returning this product back to my local store the very next day. A person's time and money would probably be better spent on any of similar book holders which are of simpler design and smaller price--as often is the case, sometimes less is more.
