Overview

Cherished Stranger by Regina Tittel

Lucy Durham Watson lost track of her sponsor child during Romania's flood. Now that the Christian organization has located her again, she's not about to lose her a second time. Disregarding advice from her family, she helps Anika and her father gain U.S. citizenship to live on her farm.

Life in Romania's poverty is a stark contrast to the comforts of the Ozarks. A fact proven by Dorin, the father of her sponsor child. Governed by his pride and his disapproval of Lucy's spontaneous and often reckless personality, they clash from the start.

But when Lucy becomes the target of a stalker, everything changes.

About the Author

Regina Tittel grew up outside a small rural community in S.E. Missouri with an older sister, and a younger sister and brother. With parents fully dedicated to one another and God, she describes her childhood as idyllic. With a couple dogs, a cat or two and several horses to cover their sixty acres, she was blessed with a creative atmosphere . . . but never imagined becoming a writer.

It wasn't until after the birth of her second child that she began to devote herself to her first novel. What started as a drive in the country, spurred the makings of the first volume of The Ozark Durham Series, Abandoned Hearts.

Within the pages of inspirational fiction, Regina found the key to using her spiritual gift of exhortation. Through stories of love, suspense, and sometimes even laughter, she encourages her readers to walk closer to God by following the principles set forth in His Word.

Regina learned the art of writing fiction by using the books she read as guides and joining a critique group through American Christian Fiction Writers.

Although Abandoned Hearts finaled in two separate contests in 2010, Mara Fiction From the Heartland and Show Me the Spark contests, and topped number one in three separate categories on Amazon in 2012, Regina credits God with her rapid success, stating, "It's not about me, but He that works through me."

Regina still resides in S.E. Missouri with her husband and their two daughters, one dog, several chickens and a couple of bunnies.

Yes, enjoyed this story too. I have enjoyed reading about the Durham family in their faith/belief in God, each other, their relationships. Book 4 and I really enjoyed the storyline. I enjoyed the update on Ethan and Carli; reading and having Ann and Jacob; Keaton, Lindsay and the kids being a part of this story line with Lucy, Dorin and Anika. Really great story, I cannot wait to read Emily's story. Kudos to the author. Thank you *vrnb*
