About the Author

A New York Times bestselling author who has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too. Granted, Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. Ever! Writing books pretty much fills her days now and she's always busy. Raine has a prince of a husband, two brilliant sons, and two very bouncy Italian Greyhounds to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. She loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books. You can connect with her on Facebook or visit www.RaineMiller.com to find out what she's working on now.

What can I say about Cherry Girl other then it is quite possibly one of the most beautiful love stories I've read in a long time. Raine Miller nails it again. This book is standalone but if you've read The Blackstone Affair series you will be familiar with the characters. The story centers around Neil and Elaina, they have known each other since they were children. Elaina immediately falls in love with Neil, but how does a 10 year old profess her undying love to a 17 year old? Years pass and two remain close, it isn't until Neil is sent off to war that you start to see a shift in feelings. Fast forward 4 years later and Neil and Elaina are finally able to act of the feelings they have been harboring for one and other. But just as fast as they come together, they are torn apart. I don't want to write anymore because I don't want to give the whole story away. But I can honestly say this is Hand's Down Raine Miller's best work to date. Please check this book out. You will not be disappointed!!

This was a very sweet story of love and misunderstandings, written beautifully as Miller has us accostumed to. I would only object that the misunderstanding that the story revolts around took perhaps too long to resolve. It just did not make much sense. But then again, the girl was only 18 at the time, so I guess that's what immaturity does to you. Other than that, the book was great and it was a little bit of treat for us, fans of the Blackstone series, to have the opportunity to learn more about the secondary characters.

Bloody Brilliant! Words cannot express just how much I love this book!! I wish I would've read it the day it went live! I fell in love with the characters from the start and felt like I went through their journey with them. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

My copy had all of the editor notes & was very distracting when trying to read. Also not understanding why it took so long to resolve the misunderstanding if they loved each other so much.

I sat down and started reading this book yesterday morning and could not stop until it I finished it. I read the entire book in one sitting. It was excellent. After having read Cherry Girl, all I have to say is that I love Neil McManus just as much as I love Ethan Blackstone!!! Wow!! Oh Wow!! Elaina and Brynne are two very lucky women to have such men love them as deeply as Neil and Ethan love them. Cherry Girl was an extremely powerful love story, and went on to prove that true love really does stand the test of time, no matter what fate may throw in its path. This story goes to show that it is absolutely true that "And of these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." Now, I am dying to read the next chapter in Neil and Elaina's story just as much as I am dying to read Rare and Precious Things, the next chapter in Ethan and Brynne's story. Oh, and please let me not forget to add how much I am dying to read Ivan and Gabrielle's story!!! If you are looking for an extremely well written book that is heartwarming, heart-wrenching at times, and extremely emotional all the time, then Cherry Girl is the book for you. Yes, you can read it without having read any of the other books in the Blackstone Affair, although I highly employ you to read the all the books in the Blackstone Affair as well, because you will not be disappointed. Raine Miller never disappoints her fans. She is a phenomenal writer and always gives her readers her best. Cherry Girl was absolutely phenomenal, and I thank Raine Miller for sharing Neil and Elaina's story with us, and I hope to continue to read about them along with the rest of the other characters in the Blackstone Affair in future books. I am also hoping that Ian Morrison gets his own story. Very well done, Raine Miller!! Very well, indeed!!

OMG. This is probably one of the best books I've ever read, and I've read hundreds of books. I could not put this book down. I've read the entire Blackstone series but Cherry Girl was the bomb! Neil was so dang hot! When he said to her, "You were my cherry girl when you were little and you're my cherry girl now", I was like HOLY TOLEDO. Yes, she was stupid to have walked away over the misunderstanding, but hey when you're young you do stupid things. Awesome read. Need to read their second part My Captain but it is delayed in coming out.

~Reviewed by ANN & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Elaina Morrison knows what it feels like to experience unrequited love. Neil McManus is a man who has always been in her life but hasn’t been more than a good friend of hers. When tragedy strikes and they are separated, Elaina learns how hard it is to let go. On one night when she gets pissed drunk and encounters her cheating boyfriend, Neil is there, as always, but something is different now. Coming back, Neil finally realizes what he almost lost and what he cherishes the most. Brimming with angst and drama, Raine Miller slathers on the emotion in this book. It’s easy to believe that there is too much drama in the book, but what makes it acceptable is the fact that Neil and Elaina react in believable ways so that it doesn’t come across as over the top or unnecessary. Though technically this book is part of the Blackstone Affair series, CHERRY GIRL can be read as a standalone. Neil and Elaina’s romance seethes with passion, drama and angst, so much so that it becomes a lethal combination and also a trademark for Miller now. I’ve now come to expect all this and more when I pick up a Raine Miller book. While I can’t say that Neil swept me off my feet like Ethan Blackstone did, I do think that he is such a great soldier and hero. With a heart of gold, Neil always tries to do what’s best for Elaina, making him the perfect man that she always believed him to be.

I loved The Blackstone Affair trilogy so much so I was excited to come across this new story. I wasnt disappointed either. It was a very moving story of love found but lost too quickly, and then many years later their paths cross again and the love is still there. I read many of the chapters with tears in my eyes, some were sad tears, some happy ones. I cant wait for the 4th book of The Blackstone Affair.

Neil, I love you!  Well I do but not as much as Ethan sorry.  Raine Miller, thank you for another hot sexy man.  I enjoyed this story because for one it told Neil and Elaina's story but it also gave more insight to the other characters in the Blackstone Affair series.

The editing was sophomoric and distracting isn't someone supposed to proof read the final version before releasing for phblication? At times there were complete paragraphs included in the text that were infact internal notations. This book was an utter waste of time & money

First I want to say that I'm a huge fan of Raine Miller and The Blackstone Series. I was so excited to read this when I saw it was part of the series, but separate. It truly is a great read, but I have one hang up. I'm beating myself because this doesn't normally bother me.....but it was like this was the copy sent to the editor before publishing. I can handle grammatical errors, but these were written in side notes towards the end of paragraphs with suggestion on wording, text and phrases. I was waiting for red lines and editing symbols to pop up along with yellow post-it notes...LOL. It was very confusing as at first I thought it was actually part of the story. It isn't everywhere, but just enough to trip you up a bit. You eventually learn to skip over it. Worth the read if you can get past the editing corrections....
