A well treasured title for teaching children the alphabet in a humorous + colorful format. A great gift for young toddlers.

My kids are learning their ABC's from this book and actually applying them to words and sounds within words. Thank-you B&N.

My five month old giggles every single time I read this book. Its a real attention getter and a fun book. Its also a great way to introduce the alphabet to an infant or toddler.

My 2 old niece has this book. She can read it to me that's how much she LOVES it so I'm going to surprise her and get the free sample... She knows the whole book and could probably tell it to me without even looking at the book. Thank You.

This exciting little board book introduces the alphabet to infants in a humorous game of tag, 'a told b, and b told c, I¿ll meet you at the top of the coconut tree. Whee! Said d to e f g, I¿ll beat you to the top of the coconut tree.' The entire lowercase alphabet makes it to the top of the coconut tree and 'chicka chicka boom boom,' they all fall down! Colorful and eye-catching, the artwork bewitches little ones, while the sing-songy prose encourages listening and learning. Birth and up. This book was edited from its original form to accommodate board book standards and objectives, to appeal to newborns, and very young children who are not attentive enough for the full text. 'Chicka Chicka abc,' is delightfully entertaining for little babies with short attention spans, who enjoy the positive interaction of cooperative play through reading. The original edition, 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom' is actually more amusing, but is in fact more appropriate for older children, 3 years and older. If you must choose between the two interpretations, purchase the original - it is a scream!

My 3 year old and 18 month old both love this book. The rhythms, rhymes and humor make this alphabet book a real joy for all of us. My 18 month old asks me to read it over and over again, up to 15 times until I call it quits! My preschooler is easily able to memorize the patterns and 'read' along with me. They love to pretend my fingers are the alphabet letters and we tickle as we go. But even without the tickles, my baby laughs delighted with almost every page. All the children I know will be getting this book for a gift.
