About the Author

Steven Kellogg was "moved by the simplicity, the subtleties, and the poignance of the writing in this story." He welcomed the opportunity to reillustrate it in full color. Mr. Kellogg is an award-winning author and illustrator who has created more than 100 children's books, including The Three Little Pigs, Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed, and Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett. He is the illustrator of Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town and The Baby Beebee Bird. This book may tickle any age. Steven's detailed, humorous drawings and storytelling gives pleasure to me every time I read it or share it.

Loved this book! My summer school class thought it was hilarious and did a great story map to follow. I highly recommend this book.

I wanted to buy this book for my own childeren and could not find it anywere.When i finally found it a whole lot of wounderful childhood memories of my father who is now gone reading this book to me every night. He would say not agian sweetie and all I would have to do is is look at him and he would say lets go .Awsome book for children I loved it and so do my kids I just hope that this book gives them memories like mine.
