Many of the stories contained are quite inspiring and some can have the power to move you to make the world a happier more loving place, Also the resources of where you can help each organization are listed in the back of the book. Very helpful. However, I found that some of the stories didn't capture my attention/imagination as much as others. They were a bit bland and the writers wanted to portray a benevolent side to their story, and just couldn't pull it off. They were like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, with out the peanut butter- sweet but doesn't hold the "bread" together as well.

This book is one of the best, most inspirational books that I have ever read. I wish wish every single person in the world could read this book and then there truly would be world peace. It made me laugh and cry but mostly contemplate how each one of us are capable of making this world a better place to live for now and the generations to come. THE GREATNESS OF A NATION AND ITS MORAL PROGRESS CAN BE JUDGED BY THE WAY ITS ANIMALS ARE TREATED. - M. GANDHI

The stories of courage and dreams-come-true show me that the individual makes a difference, and that the 'impossible' is actually very doable, achievable, within our reach. Each person can add an increment toward inventing the world we wish and are destined to have. Thank you, Chicken Soup for building a better world.

I was given this book as a gift and truly treasure it. I read it while watching my brothers kids in Indiana. I got a big chuckle when I read Bryan Hayes' short story on page 373 about kids cleaning their rooms. Sometimes they can say the most endearing words that really make your heart sing and truly make the world a better place.
