Light hearted and easy to read. I enjoyed all the descriptions about farm life - having grown up on a farm myself. All too true! Loved all the "recipes" at the end! Now I can even may my own soap! (NOT)

I enjoyed this book. I got a little tired of her struggling relationship with "52", but other than that it was fun to read.

I visit the blog from time to time but I think the book is almost better! The story is compelling and well paced. Her writing is a balance of her personal life and farming activities. She does this in a way that you never get bored reading about either, which is something I have experienced while reading other books about people starting farms. She describes the everyday life of farming, birth and death, the good and the bad. Her excitement and enthusiasm for what she does are the driving forces of this book. Well worth a read :)

Seemed like honesty to me. Enjoyed this author's memoir and appreciated all she had to go through (which seems a commonality among many women), to get to where she wanted to be. Hope for a new way of living is a story worth telling.
