A beautiful Bible storybook geared to children ages 5 to 8, told in a way that they would understand. What makes this book extra special is that children do all of the art, and there are 100 different stories, with the children participating from 50 different countries. I love that each of the illustrations give the first name of the drawer, and the country they are from, and ages between 8 and 12. There is a map in the back that both shows and lists the countries that the children come from. Then there is a people and places index to easily find the story that you want to read. I received this book through Worthy Kids/Ideals Museum of the Bible, and was not required to give a positive review
This is a book of well written bible stories that were illustrated by children ages 9-12. The illustrations are wonderful. They are different children’s opinions of what each of these bible stories would have looked like. I think children of many ages would love these stores. I received this book from Worthy Kids for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
Children love books with lots of illustrations that help them to understand the story. And children love to draw and color. Combining the two, you have this new Children's Bible Storybook with stories from the Bible told so they can be read by young readers or for read aloud time. Beautifully written text that is easy to understand yet not so simple that one's intelligence is not challenged. Some stories usually left out of children's Bible storybooks are included. Sodom and Gomorrah, The Golden Calf, Achan and the Battle at Ai, etc. There is a wonderful People and Places Index at the back of the book and a story Table of Contents at the front. These help readers locate stories and information they wish to read or reread. There is also a two-page spread of Country Map of the World at the back of the book that will be a fun learning tool and highlight. The Art: A unique and very important feature of this book is that the illustrations are done by children from all across the World. Credit is given to each and every child for his or her drawing with their first name, age, and the country they are from. This is definitely a winner!
