If you are familiar with the typical Dorling-Kindersley style, you know that you will be in for a visual treat. The illustrations and layout are superb. The encyclopedia is grouped by themes rather than individual entries, such as "cities" or "ocean animals" and are written in a clearly understandable language (my daughter is 10). My daughter loves browsing it and looking at all the pictures.
