Poetry. Bilingual Edition. Translated from the Spanish by Elizabeth Polli. "Ana Merino's CHILD'S PLAY is a descent into the sea of memory where the experiences and magical characters of childhood are vibrant. The images from the past are caught in a poetic net of language rich in emotions and craftsmanship. CHILD'S PLAY is a touching book that will make the reader relive their childhood. This is truly rewarding poetry and I wholeheartedly recommend it."—Oscar Hahn
"Ana Merino's tender poems surprise us with their peculiar images and sharp, firm ideas free of pathos. In a refined and sober language, they make us float through nostalgic galaxies of childhood, while removing its heroes' masks and staging metamorphoses of lizards, mermaids or witches. I cherish their inspiring ambivalence, with a poetic voice fluctuating between dreamlike comforting sensations and the absurdity of everyday routine or even sadness and sufferings."—Yvette Sánchez
