When that child falls ill, her search for answers leads her back to Ethan and thrusts her into his dark and mysterious world, unlocking the secrets of her past and revealing threats to their future. Together, they fight to protect their love, but one battle remains that Ethan must fight alone as he struggles to choose his own path and avoid the choices of fate.

I was really intrigued as to where this story was heading, i liked Alexa from the start even with her 'strange ability' (how sometimes i wish i could do it hehe). Ethan then came along....mmmmmm....my imagination ran wild haha. Omg the chemistry between them both was something else!! Even after the secrets started to come out they still didnt change with each other. Baby Chloe was just adorable :-) and Tilly what a great dog, the bond between the two was sooooo sweet. I would of never have guessed the link between Ethan and Dr Kline (Elijah) :-O shocker!!! I liked the way the story kept going backwards through Alexa's memorys, sometimes i did get a little confused but i got it in the end :-) I loved the comment Alexa said to Ethan ........."Actually, right now the popular vampires sparkle in the sun and drink the blood of animals,"........ I couldnt help myself from laughing out LOUD!! This book was a remarkable story about choices and fate which really messed up my feelings, the ending was not what i expected and i cant wait to see if they beat fate in the next book..... I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP)

I was given this book for an honest review (LOP) This book was not what I expected! I love the chemistry and connection between Alexa and Ethan. Chloe and Tilly are my favorite duo, however. The bond between an animal and a child is unbreakable. I love how real it was. The scene with Chloe and her hand on Tilly's heart had me in tears...a lot of tears!! The story wasn't as original as I would have liked...a lot of the end reminded me of twilight, and I didn't like that. I really, really freaked at the last 5 pages of the book. It was a major cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

3.5 from me on this one. As a "Grammar Nazi" (aka Editor) I found that the editing needs some work. There are a number of mistakes. On a whole I like the idea and premise of this book. I am a Vamp fan, enjoy the most of them. That being said I felt a little "been there, done that" with this book. The characters are done in such a way that it is easy to find yourself drawn in. Alexa is a relatively normal woman, no uncharacteristic whining etc. She is a virgin, no shocker there, I guess Vamps like the virginal ones right. But considering her special ability of reading minds, I cant blame her. That would have come in handy for many women throughout most their lives. Then she meets Ethan and finds herself at a loss. She is unable to read his mind. Ethan has his own secrets that he must live with. A prophecy that has more or less shaped his whole life. He of all people should have known you can never outrun (nor hide) destiny. Alexa is exactly what hes been running from. She is the key to the prophecy. So goes from deciding she has a right to decide her own "destiny" to deciding she no longer has that right and flees. Leaves her life with nothing more than a note. Well that and Chloe. Over all as I said this book has a lot of pluses and a few negatives. I am NOT a big fan of the books with no endings. I dont mind cliffhangers. But a book that seriously just has no ending are kinda a negative for me. This is one of those, so if you want an ending then you dont want to read this book.

I just finished reading Choices of Fate.  Alexa is a strong woman, even though she doesn't understand what was happening after she met Ethan at the club. She still carries on when she was unable to find him. Not knowing what he was at that point in time, she still hung on. The one day she did have Ethan at her apartment she was happy unlike her childhood. Becoming pregnant was probably a shocker to her because Ethan said " I'm mostly sterile" lol Chloe was a blessing to Alexa until she started having feeding issues. Not wanting her mind to wander Alexa tried to forget her thoughts of what could be causing it.  Chloe is a intelligent, powerful, and intriguing child.  Ethan tried to keep them safe by leaving, and trying to watch from a far. However when fate stepped in when he has no other option but to protect them. Ethan's family is wonderful and full of life. They care for one and other like Alexa has missed out on when she was raised in the boarding houses for children who lost their parents. Happiness was short lived and the cliff hanger has you screaming for the answers. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This vampire book is a bit different than others that I have read. Ethan is a vampire but he was born from vampires, not bitten and infected. He falls in love with Alexa and she falls in love with him. But, they do it within a day or so of meeting each other. Alexa is a telepath, meaning she can read other peoples minds, but she can't read Ethan's. After Ethan assures Alexa that he cannot get her pregnant and they spend several days over the weekend together. Ethan leaves suddenly after tasting Alexa's blood after biting her during sex. Alexa finds out she's pregnant within a few weeks after he leaves. She manages to have the baby, Chloe, and take care of her on her own until Chloe hits about 9 months old. It's when she takes Chloe to a special doctor for her sudden colic and other odd symptoms that things get weird and complicated. I can not give away some of the other things that happen in the book as they would be total spoilers. Let's just say that Alexa finds out something shocking about her and the parents that seemingly abandoned her at birth, she finds out that her daughter Chloe may be something special as well and also has other vampires trying to kill her and take her baby. There is a LOT happening in this book, but it doesn't seem like too much. It all seems like necessary storyline. I really like the storyline, the action, the characters, etc. It is a really good vampire book and I really can't wait to see what happens in future installments.

I really enjoyed this book. It is very well written. It has great characters and a very nice story. I wish that I knew beforehand that it ended with a major cliffhanger. Now I have to wait until the fall to find out what happens next!

I think it is truly romantic. A girl finding a place to belong and finds it in the arms of a man who loves her. I give this story a ten on the romance meter and hope to get it.

I am sad that I read this book, I will be honest. I could not even finish it. I actually left a book unfinished which is a rare occurence for me. Honestly, I do not even know where to begin with this book. The blurb made it soumd so much better than it actually was. I kept thinking "Okay, it is just the beginning. It will get better.". Eventually that morphed into "When will this get better?" followed by "Oh come on, you just accepted everything that easily and quickly!?" I just couldn't. Here is this girl who has EVERYTHING, not because of a decent job, but surprise surprise because her mysterious parents (which the blurb said she was in a group home really!?) left her a real large trust fund. Then she has this super lightening quick romance with a guy who gets her pregnant and leaves. But she is cool with that, apparantly it isn't a real big deal. Said baby comes along and has mysterious problems, which she goes and sees a mysterious doctor, who IMMEDIATELY knows what is going on and in the space of a day finds the father and answers! ....Are you serious? Like really? Now I love this genre, and I know literay wise, you cannot always except this great thing but from this books blurb, I was really anticipating something so much more. If you don't mind all the flaws, give this book a read, it got some great reviews from other people. But me personally, it was terrible and I couldn't even finish it.
