About the Author

Alexzandra de la Iglesia, the author of The Princeton Principle, The Self Made Woman, and Choosing Your Destiny is one of today's leading voices in business and motivational non-fiction.

After twenty five years as the owner of her own successful design firm Alexzandra suddenly found herself sidelined. The mother of a young child and recovering from cancer she rediscovered her love of writing. After delivering her little one to school she would spend every spare moment recording all the life giving and empowering tools she had discovered during those difficult years and the regenerating and life affirming principles to follow as she built her life anew. The author is proud that her readers respond to her work on such a warm level. She maintains a growing list derived from personal correspondence, speaking engagements, radio and television appearances, and social networking on Twitter, Facebook, Plaxo, LinkedIn, and others. She also maintains positions on several advisory boards and as an economic development consultant on both the municipal and state levels. Typically Alexzandra's day begins very early in the morning with a cup of tea and meditation followed by a bit of yoga. Then around 6:00 am the duties of motherhood begin. Once her little one is safely delivered to school it's time for her cherished two mile walk before settling joyfully down to a day of writing. After school it's back to a simultaneous symphony of motherly duties, helping with homework, a bit of housekeeping, and dinner preparations. Once all are tucked securely in bed for the night it is another stolen hour or two of writing. When not occupied writing or with family duties she has sometimes drifted into the world of economics and politics. In 2003 she was named Co-Chair of the Small Business Development Council for the State of Washington and then was later honored by receiving an invitation to dinner at the White House to meet with congressional leaders regarding small business development policies for the State of Washington. She was recognized by Senator Tom Delay and received a certificate of honor as well as a signed photograph and note of thanks from the President and First Lady for her efforts. She continues to consult from time to time but her first love is her family and putting in written form her experience, expertise, and ongoing gathering of knowledge to inspire others in their own growth and development.
