Reviewed by Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers' Favorite Christmas Bizarre (Mina Kitchen Book 2) by Lizz Lund is a hilarious sequel to Kitchen Addiction and follows the misfortunes of unemployed with three jobs Mina Kitchen. Currently employed as Santa’s Sidekick at the Mall, Mina also has a couple of jobs preparing meals and menus as well as general kitchen help. Her next-door neighbor, who has a key to her house, is called Vito and it comes to light that he used to be the leader of a Jewish Polish family. Acting strangely, he is using Mina’s basement to store boxes, although Mina does not ask what's inside. A Christmas wrapping tape shortage, followed by a dead lawyer, an old man who is convinced he is a vampire, a counterfeiting ring and a kidnapping or two blend into a recipe for true disaster. Christmas Bizarre by Lizz Lund was a funny book. It started out very lighthearted and got a little deeper with each chapter. Not so deep that you couldn’t grasp what was going on, though! It kept me laughing all the way through and brought to mind Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum stories. Ms Lund has a bit of a winner on her hands here. I would like to have read the first story and will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Very well written, excellent, quite lovable characters and some very witty lines made this into a book that I would read again just for a giggle and a bit of light hearted relief. Bring on the sequel – I can’t wait!
