About the Author
Rick Zuroweste grew up at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where the Great Plains meet the Ozark Plateau. This environment of outdoor adventure, coupled with his love of books, was fertile ground for firing up his imagination. He comes from a large, Christmas-loving family where he is the sixth of seven children. These experiences were the kindling for the story Christmas Comes to Prairie Dog Village. But the inspiration to write it comes from his two young grandchildren, who have helped him recapture the excitement and wonder of Christmas as seen through the eyes of a child.
Rick has previously published Penny Thoughts, a book of poems, and currently lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his wife of forty years, while his grown daughter and two grandchildren live in Katy, Texas, outside of Houston.
