Her attitude is less than merry and bright…

Melanie Harper and Christmas do not see eye to eye. While most people celebrate and look forward to the holidays, it's something she has come to dread. When she receives a gift from an unlikely source - a house in the quaint town of Silver Bell Falls - her immediate reaction is to reject it. After all, with a name like that, you're pretty much guaranteed to be surrounded by people who love Christmas!

He sees it as the most wonderful time of the year…

Josiah Stone is all about peace on earth and goodwill toward man. Maybe it's because he's the sheriff of a town named after a beloved Christmas song, but that doesn't make it any less true. Christmas is his favorite time of year and living in Silver Bell Falls where everyone feels the same and celebrates it nearly year-round only adds to his festive outlook on life.

Can a white Christmas change everything?

When Melanie is forced to stay in Silver Bell Falls during the actual holiday season, she's less than thrilled. But after meeting the sexy sheriff she finds that there is something to be said about the magic of Christmas.

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

Inspirational!! I loved the small town holiday romances that leave you wishing for a little of that Christmas magic in your own life. That is this kind of story. It was fun and witty and heartwarming. Bailey and Gavin had there problems but in the end they were perfect for each other. It made my heart happy when I was finished this story and what else could you ask for in a holiday romance!

Samantha Chase has written yet another perfect holiday romance. Her holiday stories are so sweet and sincere that even if you're not a big Christmas fan you will be a fan of her Christmas stories. Melanie is a writer who has to write a Christmas book but she hates Christmas. Melanie goes to Silver Bell Falls to stay in the cabin she inherited from her estranged grandmother. She only plans to stay for the required 3 months and then she will sell it. She hopes that time will help her get over her writers block. Josiah is the sheriff of Silver Bell Falls and he loves everything about Christmas. He has been living on the property Melanie inherited and has been saving to buy the property from her grandmother. He is surprised to learn of her grandmothers passing and of her inheritance. Melanie promises to sell it to him after the 3 months are up. Melanie shares her disdain of Christmas with Josiah and he shows her around the sweet Christmas town he calls home. They share an unexplainable connect almost instantly. Will Josiah be able to melt the ice around Melanie's heart ? Will Melanie be able to walk away from this Christmas town and Josiah when the 3 months are up ?

Melanie Harper doesn't 'do' Christmas. Kind of ironic that she inherits a house from her estranged Grandmother that is located in the small town of Silver Bells Falls that goes overboard in a charming way with Christmas. The way she meets her neighbor, Josiah Stone, the sheriff of Silver Bells is one they will never forget. He takes it upon himself to try to prove to Melanie that Christmas can be awesome, wonderful time of the year. I love the interacts these two have. I believe her Grandma played matchmaker from the beyond. I absolutely love books that grip you so tightly that you can't put it down until the very end and even then you're disappointed that the story has ended. Disappointed but with a smile on your face because the story left you with a warm, comfy feeling. I don't think there are any books better than Christmas themed ones. They are my favorite to read.

I always enjoy books by Samantha Chase. Her stories always leave me feeling warm and fuzzy, interspersed with the appropriate mix of laughter and turmoil. Christmas in Silver Bell Falls started out with that humor that I've grown used to in Chase's books in the fact that Melanie hates Christmas and yet was being forced to write a story themed for the very holiday that she loathes. Add an inherited cabin in a town named for a beloved Christmas song, and this book was well on its way, with me gladly along for the ride. The budding chemistry between Melanie and Josiah was highly entertaining to read. Their banter kept me laughing as I made my way through the story. The way he was able to break down her walls and chip away at her avoidance of all things Christmas was very impressive. As their feelings for one another grew, there was a constant curiousity about what would happen at the end of the three months. Melanie seemed so set in her ways and sure of her decision to return to Raleigh, and yet her defenses seemed to be crumbling bit by bit. As the end neared, I enjoyed the wise words of her father and found that they went a long way into assisting the healing process for Melanie. There was so much that she needed to acknowledge and overcome and it was great to see that happening more and more. This was a fabulously entertaining little story. I love Chase's books and her holiday-themed ones especially. I can't wait to get more of them.

Loved, loved, loved!! Dean, Abby and the adorable Maya are such incredible characters and the little town of Silver Bell Falls is the perfect setting for this wonderful holiday story. I look forward to Samantha Chase's holiday stories every year and this is one of her best. She has a way of developing her characters making them feel so warm and real they seem like they could live next door. Abby Foster is the go to girl in Silver Bell Falls. Always willing to give a helping hand but she has dreams of her own. First is opening a real dance studio. Dance is her passion and her calm. Being able to offer more than the small classes at the rec center is something she's always wanted. Second is Dean Hughes. She's always had a crush on the reclusive bachelor and seeing him everyday in the diner has made that crush grow. When Dean finds out his sister has died in an accident and he has been named as guardian to his young niece Maya he feels lost but with the help and guidance of Abby he finds a way to connect with not only Maya but Abby and the residents of the small town as well. As the three go through the holiday season the become a close unit and it looks like things are moving along nicely until Abby has a chance of fulfilling her first dream. You don't want to miss this one. I highly recommend it.

If you Love Christmas Romance, You will Love this Book!!!! Christmas in Silver Bell Falls is a wonderful story about Melanie Harper a writer who has grown up with no one but her dad. Over the years Melanie has come to really dislike Christmas and does not even bother to celebrate it. One day she gets an unexpected surprise from her deceased grandma whom she has not spoken to in years. The only problem is she has to go to Silver Bell Falls to receive it. When she arrives at Silver Bell Falls it is Christmas every where. Once she arrives she meets the handsome town Sheriff Josiah, who also happens to be her neighbor. Josiah is sweet, kind, really cares about the town and its people. He is from a large family and absolutely loves Christmas. Once he finds out Melanie does not like Christmas he makes it his mission to help change that. This was a great light-hearted read. With funny moments and great characters. Made me want to go and look for this town or one just like it! Great book to put you in the Christmas mood!

A wonderful, heartwarming Christmas story that I could not put down. A perfect read for a lazy afternoon wrapped up in your blanket in front of your Christmas tree. Melanie is bah humbug with the holiday season, but when her grandmother dies and leaves her house to her with stipulations. She needs to live in Silver Bell Falls for three months. What she did not expect to find is Josiah, her single neighbor who shows her the pure magic and the love of the Christmas season. I loved Josiah, he was so patient with Melanie. I highly recommend this book for a wonderful Christmas romance.

I loved Christmas in Silver Bell Falls SO MUCH!! Christmas and Romance just go together, which can also be said for Melanie and Josiah! Samantha Chase gives us another enchanting holiday story of fate, but in this case our heroine, Melanie, shares many traits with Ebeneezer Scrooge, while Josiah Stone is as dreamy as he can be, and a sheriff to boot! When Melanie arrives in Silver Bell Falls she is determined to hate it, but slowly changes her feelings after spending time in the quaint town with the handsome sheriff!! With Josiah by her side she is able to face her past and hopefully her future! I loved everything about this novella, Josiah, Melanie, their families, the townspeople, the humor, the heart and the heat!! Absolutely pick this up for a great Christmas read today!

I purchased Christmas in Silver Bell Falls because I love to read Samantha Chase. After reading the synopsis I was not sure about this story. Didn't sound very interesting. As I started to read I became wrapped up in the characters. That happy feeling that you get when you open a surprise, that was what this book was for me. The holiday card setting, the perfect season and a little push from an unexpected hand made this an entertaining and fun spin on a holiday classic. Melanie made an adorable scrooge-like character and Josiah was a sexy wake-up call. Cute and sweet read.

LOVED this story! Super cute way to get into the holiday spirit. Melanie is totally anti-Christmas but she's stuck in the town of Silver Bell Falls for 3 months over the Christmas holiday. That's only the beginning. Within her first few hours there, she gets accused of breaking and entering while taking a bath in her own home! Good thing the local sheriff is sexy. Fun story, an easy read that will have you laughing out loud at times.
