This story originally appeared in the Hockey Holidays Anthology in November 2018.
Shane Masters wants nothing to do with Christmas. His idea of holiday fun is hanging out with the single guys from the Baltimore Banners while the team has a few days off for the season. The last thing he wants to do is go home and face the memories that haunt him at night--but this year he has no choice. He heads home, convinced he can put the past behind him.
Chloe Hunter needs a miracle and will stop at nothing to make it happen--not if it means keeping her brother from his downward spiral. Pulling Shane Masters into the picture seems like the perfect solution--until she sees him again and realizes the past isn't as far away as she thought.
But Shane doesn't believe in second-chances or happy-ever-afters, not anymore. And it's going to take a Christmas miracle for the woman who knew him best to thaw his heart before it's too late.
About the Author
Lisa B. Kamps is the USA Today Bestselling Author of The Baltimore Banners, featuring "…hard-hitting, heart-melting hockey players…" [USA Today], on and off the ice. Her Firehouse Fourteen series features hot and heroic firefighters who put more than their lives on the line and she's introduced a whole new team of hot hockey players who play hard and love even harder in her Banners' spin-off series, The York Bombers. The Chesapeake Blades--a romance series featuring women's hockey--recently launched with WINNING HARD. Her newest series, Cover Six Security, will launch in early 2019.
Lisa currently lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons (who are mostly sorta-kinda out of the house), one very spoiled Border Collie, two cats with major attitude, several head of cattle, and entirely too many chickens to count. When she's not busy writing or chasing animals, she's cheering loudly for her favorite hockey team, the Washington Capitals--or going through withdrawal and waiting for October to roll back around!

So much emotion and romance was packed into this novella and WOW!! I loved it!!! I can't wait to get the rest of Shane and Chloe's story and hopefully more on Wyatt. Five years ago something happened to tear Chloe and Shane, and Shane and her brother Wyatt apart. Chloe has waited long enough and sets a plan in motion to get everyone face to face agai and hopefully mend fences and repair relationships. Let's hope there is enough Christmas cheer in the air to make it work! I love the Banners series and will never get enough. If I can get this wrapped up in a novella, the book is going to do me in emotionally I can feel it! I always look forward to floating away in Lisa Kamps stories!
