About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

Abby and Dean have lived in the same town for a while. Dean is pretty much a recluse and keeps to himself because of all of the drama his sister caused as a kid. To not stir up the town's ire, he does his best to stay under the radar. Abby works at the diner, but her dream is to own her own dance studio. Dean's life changes irrevocably when he gets word that his sister has passed away and he needs to care for his niece, Maya. Abby steps in to help and sparks start to fly between the 2 of them. Dean wants to start living his life and not watching it from the sidelines. Abby starts to realize her dream and both of them are left wondering what that means for the other. Abby was a bit self-centered and blamed Dean for his inability to communicate exactly what she meant. Her mother comes in for Christmas and works some magic. It was nicely done, had a great ending and was a nice addition to this series. I was provided an ARC by Samantha Chase for an honest review.

A feel-good story with extremely likable characters set in a genuinely idyllic spot with only a gentle dose of angst! "I kind of fantasized about watching you dance. Just for me." Wow. That was totally unexpected too. “Like a striptease?” she asked, slightly confused. He shook his head. “No. More like just what you do in class. But… just for me. And maybe…just wearing something sexy.” CHRISTMAS ON POINTE by Samantha Chase is a sweet and heartfelt holiday novella that will leave you smiling and contented. It is written from a third person point-of-view over a period of approximately two months and is set in the small unspoiled town of Silver Bell Falls, a wonderful, supportive community. It is the story of ballet teacher Abby Foster and the town’s recluse, Dean Hayes. Abby is a trained ballet dancer who lovingly shares her talent with the kids of Silver Bell Falls in the town’s community center while dreaming of owning her own dance studio with the wherewithal to offer an assortment of classes for all ages some day. In the meantime, she waitresses at a local diner and fantasizes about a life with Dean. She has been crushing on Dean for about a year. Dean has spent his life proving that he is as different from his wild sister as could be. When Dean returns to town after dealing with his sister’s death accompanied by Maya, his newly orphaned five-year-old niece, in tow, he stops by the cafe before heading home. He’s understandably overwhelmed with his new circumstances which transitioned from being a loner to a small child’s caretaker overnight and he’s clueless as to how he’s going to juggle everything he now has on his plate… until Abby steps in. Dean has always noticed Abby at the diner. If truth be told, he looked forward daily to seeing her smile and exchanging a few words with her. Abby is known for her very generous nature and others have taken advantage of that facet of her personality in the past. As soon as Abby becomes aware of Dean’s plight, she volunteers to help with Maya’s after-school care while he gets his footings. It just so happens that Maya has always dreamed of being a dancer. AND who better than Abby to make Maya’s fantasy come true? Together, Dean, Abby and Maya begin to see possibilities beyond their current makeshift situation. But, change isn’t always easy. Can the threesome find their way to a new bright future where everyone’s dreams can come true? I would recommend that you snuggle into your softest wrap in a comfy recliner, put some logs on the fire, and delve into CHRISTMAS ON POINTE for a guaranteed warm fuzzies’ ambiance. It truly would be perfect as one of those Hallmark Christmas movies as it’s such a feel-good story with extremely likable characters set in a genuinely idyllic spot with only a gentle dose of angst. I’ve not yet read the first tale set in Silver Bell Falls, CHRISTMAS IN SILVER BELL FALLS, but I plan to rectify that omission soon! No worries, though. CHRISTMAS ON POINTE works beautifully as a stand-alone read. The story adds up as a wonderful escape and all you have to do is open the book. If I had one complaint, it was that I didn’t want this delightful tale with these lovely characters to end. My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!

Abby works in the diner where she comes across Dean. Dean is oblivious to Abby's interest. He is known as a recluse. He has lived his life to be the total opposite of his sister. Abby's dream is to own her own dance study. She teaches dance on the side and puts on a Christmas Recital every year with the town's children. Dean suddenly becomes the guardian of his five year old niece, Maya. He is overwhelmed to say the least. Abby volunteers to help Dean get his footing and the two develop a friendship/love from there. I love the chemistry these two have. Through Abby/Maya Dean becomes more social and gets out in the real world. Abby's dream just as suddenly looks like it can be a reality and it seems like she may have to make a choice Dean/Maya or her dance study. Pretty heart-wrenching. I love how the town of Silver Bell Falls pulls together to support each other. First we see it with Dean/Maya and then with Abby and her dream. If you don't want to move to a small town after reading this book you're crazy.

So excited to return to Silver Bell Falls for another wonderful written Christmas story. Some times life just throw you curves when you are not ready for them, but you pick up the pieces on life gets better. That is what happens when Dean becomes guardian to his niece, Maya, who is only five years old. Abby, ballet instructor and waitress at the town diner has offered her help. As Dean and Abby brighten the holidays for Maya, it also the brightens the romance between them. A wonderful written Christmas story that will sure brighten everyone's holiday season from making cookies to the tree trimming and the Christmas parade. I highly recommend this story while sitting in front of your Christmas tree.

Abby Foster is a waitress in Silver Bell Falls, but her dream is to open her own dance studio so she can expand on the lessons she gives at the community center. Dean Hughes is one of her customers who is known as a recluse. His life is in a sudden upheaval when his sister dies and leaves behind her young daughter Mia. His parents live in a retirement community in Florida and cannot take her so that leaves Dean. Abby has always had a bit of a crush on Dean. Once Mia comes along, Dean is completely out of his element. The good people of Silver Bell Falls come together to help him out. That includes casseroles (lots and lots of casseroles!) and helping him get Mia settled. Abby steps up to help because she sees herself in the little girl with how she loves everything about dance. That leads to a closer relationship with Dean. I loved watching these two people fall in love and work through their problems to get to their HEA.

Abby loves dance and dreams of opening her own dance studio. For now, she works at the diner and teaches dance on the side. Dean is considered a recluse. When Dean becomes guardian of his five-year-old niece, Maya, his whole world changes, and he has to learn how to be a parent. Abby has always had a soft spot for Dean, but was never going to admit it. Dean has always wondered what it would be like to go out with Abby. So when Abby offers to help Dean with Maya (as well as teach her ballet), they end up spending a lot of time together. Could they make a family out of this? Can they all find happiness and love? I really loved this story. I love when there are kids in the story, because let's face it, that is reality for a lot of people. This book was heartwarming and very enjoyable to read. I highly recommend it!

"Christmas On Pointe: A Silver Bell Falls Holiday Novella" by Samantha Chase is a wonderful Christmas romance. This is Dean Hughes and Abby Foster's story. I loved this story. The author pulls you in from the beginning and you won't be able to put it down. This is a sweet, romantic, and heartwarming Christmas story. Abby has been back in Silver Bell Falls works part-time at the diner and then teaches dance classes the other part. She dreams of opening her own dance studio. Abby also wants to find the one and has dreams of it being Dean Hughes. Dean pretty much stays to himself. He is a very reserved and quiet guy. Dean's life has a dramatic change when he becomes permanent guardian of his niece, Maya. This is a pretty big adjustment for Dean but he was surprised at how the community and especially Abby were there to help and support him. Abby ends up helping with Dean's niece. So, Dean and Abby end up spending lots of time together which turns to more than just friends. Will Dean and Abby take a chance on love? This is a beautiful Christmas love story. I fell in love with Abby, Dean, and Maya's characters. This is a great story to just dive in and escape for a little while. The author did a wonderful job incorporating a sensual but tasteful romance with an uplifting story. I absolutely loved this story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story really brought on all the feels. Dean isn't the typical alpha type hero. He's a bit on the quiet side and withdrawn. His world is sort of tossed upside down when events leave him as guardian of his niece. I liked that the author showed that while most people would do this, it's not usually without panic or confusion for a bit. Abby was such a fun heroine. She never really seemed to be down about much, and has a fantastic personality. This story makes me wish I lived in a close knit small town. It shows some of the finer things they have to offer (people coming together to help others, looking out for each other, even a little meddling when needed). This book was a great read, and I would definitely recommend it!

Christmas on Pointe by Samantha Chase is a heartwarming Christmas story. Abby Foster has been a dancer her entire life but she is ready to bring her dream of a dance studio to her town of Silver Bell Falls. She wants to move her ballet lessons from the community center to a larger place where she can offer more than just ballet. It is the town residents who come to the rescue, helping Abby find an appropriate place for the new dance studio. Dean Hayes has kept a low profile as he has cleaned up the messes left by his wild sister. Once again, things are out of control when he is named the permanent guardian for his five year old niece, just in time for the holidays. Dean has always believed that he would have a family of his own, but not exactly like this. With the support of friends and the town Dean finds the support to make this work. However, the biggest support comes from Abby, who’s help with his niece m generates the biggest difference. Abby dreamed about Dean being Mr. Right while Dean had been working on his courage to follow up on his attraction to Abby. As Abby and Dean work together to make the holidays special and memorable for his niece, the attraction that has been simmering all along explodes into instant chemistry. This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end, reading the story in one day. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Sweet story about going after your dream and living life to it’s fullest! Abby Foster loves living in Silver Bell Falls and teaching ballet at the community center, but she also has big dreams that she is on the verge of seeing come true! She wants to have her own dance studio to teach all types of dance, and with the help of the wonderful community she lives in, it looks like she’s going to get to live that dream! Dean Hughes has been living his life on the sidelines for most of his life. Family dynamics made him keep to himself and avoid the world as much as possible. Now he’s a virtual recluse, but that’s all about to chance when circumstances make him the new guardian to his adorable 5 year old niece! Abby has been crushing on Dean for over a year now, and adding an adorable little girl into the mix is too hard to resist. She steps up to offer her assistance in helping to ease this cutie into his world. Will all of their dreams coincide into a happy ending for them all?

Christmas on Pointe by Samantha Chase is a wonderful, amazing, heartwarming and sometimes emotional story it brought tears to my eyes. Abby wants her own ballet school but is occupied with the annual Christmas show. And when Dean returns to Silver Bell Falls with his niece Maya who is so entranced with learning ballet that Abby agrees to help her with lessons. You will get so involved with this story right from the beginning and a great Christmas story and definitely a keeper.

Sometimes it takes a bump in the road to help us find our way. With Christmas on Pointe, Ms. Chase spins a beautiful tale of missed opportunities, optimism and the powerful force that puts everything in focus. LOVE! Abby is a dreamer. Her hopes don't always pan out, but she looks at the world with more of a glass half full mentality. If at first you don't succeed, keep trying until you do is her opinion. Dean is more of a realist. He sees things as they are, not as they could be. When life throws him another curveball in the form of his five year old niece, his life, his heart and his home will never be the same. Christmas on Pointe is a story of faith, miracles and family. Captures the meaning of the season as it casts a spell on the heart.
