Overview

Christmas with a Prince (Rothman Royals, #4) by Noelle Adams

I might be a former party girl and the over-indulged daughter of a multi-millionaire, but for the last few years I've been trying to be work hard and be good. I have enough right now to deal with--graduate school, my community literacy program, preparations for Christmas, and my dad's constant attempts to find me a husband. I definitely don't want to put up with Henry always hanging around, acting obnoxious and looking far too sexy.

My boss forced me to take on Henry as a literacy volunteer for the month of December. I don't know anything about him except he's from somewhere in Europe, and he's spoiled, entitled, arrogant, stubborn... and incredibly hot. He's the kind of guy I've been trying to stay away from. Plus he's got a secret--something he's hiding from me.

Now I can't think of anything but him, and I'm stuck with him until Christmas is over.

This is the fourth book in the Rothman Royals series and after having seen his three sisters happily married off it's Henry's turn to find the woman who will be his princess. It will certainly make his mother happy and because their royal family is low on funds, marrying into a wealthy one would be ideal. In fact, she finds a candidate who would be perfect, and after seeing the woman in question, Henry decides so too. But he hopes to have her meet and like him as a man, and not a prince. April spent years perfecting her party girl image but after a rude awakening when her father had a heart attack three years earlier, she put those days behind her, dedicated herself to being clean and sober (including regular AA visits) and headlines a literacy group at a local community center where she meets Henry. He's a volunteer, but a bit mysterious and the more she gets to know him, the more she likes him. Discovering who he really is though makes her question his motives. Does he really love her, or is she a convenient means to solve his money and marriage problems? I've enjoyed all the books in this series and eagerly awaited Henry's turn! He's a sweet, sensitive and good man, and one can understand why he'd want to keep his real identity a secret from April so that she'd get to know him without all the royal trappings. He's also a generous and skilled lover and they share some sexy scenes together. April is admirable for her desire to keep herself on the straight and narrow and being with Henry is a bit scary for her because the strong emotions she feels around him make her feel a bit out of control - and she knows where that can lead. The conflict that comes up is predictable and well handled, and in the end they get a lovely and suitable happy ending, including a sweet epilogue. It's a great finish to the series.

Rothman Royals is a series about the Rothman's, the Royal family of Villemont, a small European country near the Alps. The first three books were about the sisters, Amalie, Victoria and Lisette, the Princesses of Villemont and how they fall in love and live their happily ever after. It is not easy because of their Royal family but their stories are so sweet, emotional and lovely. Now we get to know the heir Prince Henry and his story to discover love with April. April is not an easy task... She had troubles in the past with drinking and partying, but she is strong enough to walk away from this life and now she is finishing her Master at the University and is managing a literacy program. And then she meets this stubborn, arrogant and handsome guy named Henry, who conquers her entirely. April and Henry story is a beautiful Christmas tale and it is unique, nothing like you ever read before. They are strong and stubborn, but they are gentle souls who just want to be happy. The whole series is a great reading and they are all basically novellas. A great reading for a Christmas morning.
